Onigiri, contrary to his innocent-sounding name, is actually quite the character. He phases through the planes of existence and lives on through the memories that others have of him. He's forced to watch the story that has been created for him, with him being a trickster that pulled the wool over the eyes of his peers. In reality, it was he who had the wool drawn across his face.
He had been created as a fertility god, much to the dismay of everyone else. He was there to help situate and settle families, which was actually quite enjoyable. As it turns out, he wasn't a high ranking personnel and eventually uncovered a darker secret among his standing. The gods had based their entire existences around the manipulation of mortals.
Trying to spread the word of this, his superiors found out and took immediate punishment. The lower gods weren't very powerful, but they could grow in strength in numbers. Unfortunately, his word got spread as lies and mischief- a fertility god looking for a way to garner more attention. Onigiri lost the battle almost immediately and lived on as a newfound god of trickery and deceit, forced to watch the gods above him continually string the world along with their plans.
