Your pet entry: Walking back and forth in the crammed room, Horatius betrayed some nervous feelings. "I can't believe I lost that key again".
"C'mon, we both know that it is exactly where you left it last time" his beloved companion flapped his wings exasperated.
As if a ray of sun enlightened him, he grabbed the handle of a semi- opened drawer. Inside, various objects were scattered random in a general clutter. After a couple of moments of rummaging in, Horatius turned suddenly with a victorious expression, holding a little copper key in his hand. "It looks like you were right"
The small bird made of cogwheels and brass make an amusement chrip while flying across the room to tidy up.
"What should I do without you?" Smiled the keldine. "Possibly you would have spent an eternity and a half cleaning the house, not to mention that you would lose your tools once at two seconds in this mess"
Horatius, very passionate of clockwork and inventions, is always building up something. One day, he felt the claw of the loneliness in his heart, so he decided to make a companion. He gathered some of the best quality materials he had and started working without stopping day and night for almost a week.
Piece by piece, masterfully assembled and polished, then lacquered in detail, a small bird came into being. When he decided it perfect, he took a piece of a green glowing stone, and placed it
into the little bird's chest. It opened its black cogwheel eyes and started looking around. He named him Tempus ("time" in Latin). He was singing very beautiful, marking each hour's passing and ulterior he started learning even how to communicate with his creator.
And what else could have been more suitable for him than a cuckoo clock bird?
