If you were to ask those closest to her to describe her in a few words, they’d each give a very different look into the life of Delilah. However two things would remain the same: they each, in their own way, would describe her as very relaxed and gentle. Not in the sense of a pushover, they’d be quick to correct, but in the sense that she’s really good at adapting to her environment and making everyone feel safe.

For example, around energetic people she speaks more expressively, using her hands to add gestures at just the right places as her voice rises and falls with the flow of her story. At the same, without losing the vibrancy, she makes sure not to gesture as abruptly or speak as loudly around calmer or less outgoing people.

She doesn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable around her, whether that be from boredom or being overwhelmed. So it’s all of these little details she makes sure to pay attention to, to try and help out where she can. It’s always been a part of her, that desire to help those around her, and it’s something she values highly.

Especially since there are days when she only wants the peace and quiet, or needs to just let loose, and whenever they happen she always has someone there for her too.

Hobby wise she’s as varied as her friend group. Depending on the day, she could either love to be outdoors and go to amusement parks and picnics and what have you, or prefer a quiet day indoors, snuggled under her blankets with a book in one hand and a hot chocolate in the other.

She thrives in the variety, having so many options to choose from and going with whatever feels right in the moment. However, odds are if she’s at home by herself you’ll find her reading, baking, or drawing in her sketchbook, perhaps even all three if there’s enough time in the day. Those days are amongst the best, when she can simply be herself—whatever that may be.
