"All I want is a hot meal..." Ariolo groaned to himself.
The poor keldine was a fairly popular monster hunter, known for his sharp wit and strength but he's weak to his own stomach. He had been walking for a few days now and his only goal was to reach a small town with rumors of a monster known as the "Undead Diver" rising from the lake, hopefully they'd have some decent food he could chow down on before doing his job.

The town was out of the way of his normal route, so he arrived at sunset. Strangely enough, there was no warm welcome like he was used to, the town was rather empty. He noticed a few keldines giving him a concerned glance from their windows before shutting the curtains once more. Walking up to the town's inn, Ariolo quickly got himself accommodated to a room and settled down with the inn's owner to discuss his job.
"It's quite the predicament!," the innkeeper babbled,"The Undead Diver shows up at sundown and scares most of our visitors away! Even the townspeople have been packing up and leaving! We need your help!"

Ariolo agreed to take a look around town and scout out just what this 'monster' was all about. It had been a few hours, late in the night, when he spotted a lone keldine slinking away to Relikin lake. It was a small keldine, maybe a child, but it was way too dangerous for anyone to be out with this creature around. The golden keldine trotted up to the smaller and called out to them,"Hey you! It's dangerous out!" Within a second, the smaller keldine whipped their head around in shock then started off into the forest.

Ariolo sought after the unknown keldine, thundering through the woods behind them. "Hey! Come back!" he shouted, "Please!" But no luck, the smaller keldine was faster and was able to dodge many of the branches Ariolo's face seemed to find very easily. He was about to give up the chase until they both reached a small clearing in the middle of the forest. Ariolo quickly cutting in front of the keldine and stopping them in their tracks. With a growl, Ariolo rubbed his sore face. "If you would've just stopped when I had called! Ugh, I just wanted to talk to yo-" He stopped abruptly, seeing the smaller kel shivering.

The strange keldine looked up at Ariolo, frightened. Ah dang, it's just a kid.. Ariolo sighed,"Ah.. uh., sorry about that. Listen you really shouldn't be out here with the 'monster' around, kid." Looking away to scan the surrounding forest before looking at the smaller kel again. Their face was suddenly warped with frustration and what looked like.. anger? Before Ariolo could question them, the kel lunged forward and bit his ear. Mid-yelp, Ariolo yanked his ear away as the smaller landed a strong kick to his chest before scampering off further into the woods.
"Yikes.. that was quite the first impression.."

prompt: Kiara walked along the road at a slow trot, stopping for a moment to sniff the air. Was that another keldine she smelled? She followed the scent off the road, hesitating for a moment at the edge of the dense woods to look back worriedly, what if she couldn't find her way back to the road? She plunged into the undergrowth before she had a chance to stop herself, speeding up when she heard growling up ahead. She crouched down in some bushes at the edge of a small clearing, her pale belly fur brushing the moss underneath. She perked up her long ears when she saw a small keldine curled up in a tight ball at the far edge, whimpering. They were clearly too small to escape the forest beasts surrounding them. She tensed her back legs, preparing to leap in, and as she sprung out of the bushes, she didn't have a single thought besides I have to save that keldine. After the fight, all she remembered was a red haze and pain, a LOT of pain, but the small keldine she was now carrying out of the clearing flopped over her head couldn't stop smiling, "You were so, SO, brave!" they said, "If I ever get in trouble again, you can come in, WHOOSH! BAM! And save me again!!!" And Kiara couldn't help but smile as he talked. She wasn't worried about finding the road again at all.

Hyashi was walking along the streets of Akihabara, the place with many stores
Hyashi was hoping to find a good shop to get some supplies for the crafts he has planned.
Just then, as he was walking into a giant shop. He was the most adorable looking Keldine he has ever saw.
Hyashi walked into the store, the same one /163/ was in and stood near him,
glancing a few times and sometimes getting glances back.Once when Hyashi glanced at /163/,
he was looking the same times as Hyashi.
Making him look away fast and blush. He heard a small laugh and looked back at /163/ and see
him smiling and laughing, making Hyashi blush even more.

After that ordeal, Hyashi walked up to /163/ and introduced themselves and gave them small compliments.
They both finished shopping and decided to spend some more time with each other,
the start of a beautiful relationship!

"Maki, we need some clean bowls! And the chopsticks need refilling!" Tonks called out to her business partner, wondering just where she had gotten off to this time. Their tiny little corner shop had really taken off in the last few weeks, and they had more business than they could handle by themselves at times. Perhaps it really was time to hire somebody to help wash dishes at least. “I’m back here, Tonks!” a tiny, muffled voice replied from somewhere in the direction of the ingredient storage. Tonkotsu padded her way back there quickly, finding the little keldine practically tail in the air inside of a large tub of produce. “What are you doing? We have customers to feed!” Tonks explained impatiently, “..why are you..?” Maki finally wriggled herself out of the tub, brandishing a ripe and fresh cucumber from the bottom of it. “We needed this, and I knew there was another one in there somewhere. The best stuff always falls to the bottom!” Tonks put a paw to her temple, exhaling deeply. “Alright, but we ne-” Before she could even finish talking, Maki was bounding away to the kitchen once more. “Gotta go, gotta cook, orders coming in!” A small smile spread across her lips. It was almost impossible to anticipate that a few years ago the pair of them were training to be chefs, always getting on one another’s nerves, and now they were running a business together.

Tonks could remember it as though it were yesterday..

~~ A few years prior ~~

The door to the room flung open with quite the clatter, the attentions of everyone present turning to meet the spectacle that was a stout keldine proudly making their appearance in class, albeit somewhat breathlessly.

“My bad! I’m here.. huff.. i’m here..!”

A few of the other culinary students began to chuckle amongst themselves, amused by the sudden intrusion. “Yes, well..” began the teacher, clad in a pristine white chef’s jacket and observing this display of tardiness with mild disbelief, “.. please get yourself to an empty station. Perhaps just there, at the back.” She motioned with a paw, turning her attention back to her whiteboard, her classroom soon settling back into attentiveness.

“Great..” Tonks mumbled under her breath, watching the noisy little keldine trotting over to the empty side of the work station right beside her.

Tonkotsu was hoping to keep all of this space to herself so she could carefully lay out her tools and ingredients precisely as she needed them. Now she had to share with this upstart! Ridiculous! The other keldine appeared behind the station, flashed Tonks a grin and scrambled up onto the stool to begin learning. Their teacher continued their lesson on proper whisking, mixing and folding, the students rather absorbed in it all, the only exception being the small keldine sat beside her. They appeared to be making motions with their paws, mimicking whisking something and mouthing words to themselves.

“What are you doing..?” Tonks hissed through gritted teeth as quietly as was possible, her brows furrowed in annoyance.

The other keldine turned their tiny snout up to look at her, tilting their head. “Practicing. I need to have perfect technique” they whispered back, continuing with their odd motions.

Tonks rolled her eyes. “You could just wait until the teacher tells us to use the whisk to practice, you know.” She flicked a long ear back over her shoulder, facing the other keldine a little more.

“But I want to be good before then, so I can impress people!”

“You mean like how you impressed everyone by coming in late.”

The smaller keldine pouted, crossing their arms in defiance at being called out.

“And why have I never seen you in class before.. Uh…”

“Maki.”

“Maki.. this class has been going for a few weeks, you’re already behind.”

Maki waved her paw dismissively. “Ain’t a problem, I already cleared it with teach. I’ll catch up in no time, i’m a quick learner!” She beat her paw against her chest proudly.

“..right..” replied Tonks, clearly skeptical of what she was hearing.

Before long their teacher set them to the task of making and whipping up some cream from scratch to the point of firm peaks, a relatively easy chore in Tonks’ mind. Students moved about to retrieve ingredients and apparatus, bowls thumping onto worktops and utensils clinking against bowls. Side by side, the two girls set about combining ingredients into identical bowls, mixing them with determination. Maki was going full speed with their whisk, Tonks could only look on in horror whilst maintaining her own even pace.

“You’re going to get that everywhere doing it that way.”

“Nuh-uh, i’m just going to get it done faster!”

“..sure but c..can you at least hold the bowl more firmly, I don’t want you to spill it-”

The bowl tumbled out of Maki’s paws promptly and the unfinished cream spilled onto the worktop. She yelped, flinging her arms out. This action sent any remaining product from the whisk flying right onto Tonks’ unimpressed face.

“..gee, thanks.”

“I’m sorry! I’ll clean it..” she paused, “.and you.. up in no time! Promise!”

“Are you going to be sitting next to me this entire class?” Tonks asked, already wiping the flecks of almost-cream from her muzzle.

“Sure, why not?” Maki replied, using a cloth to scrape wayward spillage towards their shared sink. “It’ll be fun, don’t you think?”

Fun? Was that the word for this? Certainly not at this exact moment, and many moments following it.

Eventually, despite their differences and approaches to cooking, they found a way to work together. It wasn’t always efficient, and it was barely ever professional. But it worked.

And Tonks would often reminisce over one important lesson when thinking back to these times.

That there really was no need to cry over spilled milk.
