Intruder wrote:He clasped his hand over his mouth, his heavy breathing now muffled.
The floorboards creaked as each step planted itself heavily into the floor, the creeping feeling of dread crawling up Akira's spine.
His grasp on his phone tightened as the footsteps had entered the room.
His sheets and blankets were tossed off his bed and the closet door was thrown open, the doors hitting the walls with a violent clank.
The steps left the room, and Akira took his hand away from his mouth.
Before he could attempt to crawl out from under his bed, or call the police, the steps came back, but in full sprint.
A heavy weight lunged onto his bed and knocked over his lamp, promptly shattering the bulb inside.
Akira shut his eyes.
His fingers crawled up the phone, and picked it up.
He tapped the button "emergency dial", and held the phone up to his ear.
His hand was shaking at this point.
"911, what's your emergency?" A voice said smoothly from the other side of the line.
The foot steps left the room and slammed the door shut behind it, rattling the house from the force.
"There's someone in my house.. My address is 77 Horns Lane" Akira sputtered
"We'll send a officer to the scene." The responder said,
"Stay on the line for us" She added.
"Yes Ma'am.." Akira croaked.

Sirens whined in the distance, flashing lights following.
"The dispatch is here" Akira said quietly. I'm finally safe.. for now.
