The first thing Cadbury can remember was the smile on his mothers face, the grin stretching from ear to ear. Her singing a cheerful song, and when Cadbury looked out the window, the easter bunny, hopped across the land. And on that windowsill, was an egg. Cadbury hopped over and looked inside the pink, plastic egg, and inside found an egg shell hat. He put it on his head, and his parents told him that he came out of an egg, and he still believes it.

Prompt: During Caldwell's first spring, he was playing with his siblings in the tall green grass when suddenly he found himself all alone. The world was big, quiet, and unfamiliar. A moment later, though, he heard a strange noise in the distance. Maybe it was his siblings! Without another thought, he took off. Right when he thought he was never going to reach the noise, he stumbled into a dirt clearing, and, consequently, a gathering of fuzzy, yellow creatures his size! Instantly the air was filled with their squawks of shock, verbalizing his own surprise. He was frozen in place, cowering in a ball, but the noisy animals were more curious, poking and prodding him with their beaks. Suddenly, with a louder quack, the poking ceased. Slowly and reluctantly he eased one eye open, his vision filled with the confused face of a mother hen. The creatures were baby chicks! After a laugh and shake of her head, the hen nudged Caldwell to his feet and kept him walking until they reached the rabbit hutch. There, Caldwell's mother greeted him with a hug (and a scold!) before thanking the hen and shooing him inside to reunite with his siblings.

He traveled around the farm and got lots of attention from the farmers children. He never lived in fear and he enjoyed watching the chickens and ducks more than anything, so he began to follow the birds around. One day as he was following the ducks the birds all jumped into a large pond. They had spotted something in the bushes. That something happened to be a big orange fox. Rooster looked at the fox and the fox looked at him. The fox pounced at rooster pinning him down, rooster was scared. The fox growled and smiled. it opened its mouth revealing its sharp teeth, As the fox was about to bite rooster, the farmer’s dog knocked the fox down. The dog chased the fox away. Rooster was safe but still very very scared. Rooster saw that dog was barley, a young border collie. Rooster decided to stay near barley from then on, the two became good friends and barley kept rooster safe.

his friend proceeded to help him off the ground.

as his mother was looking the bite over,

the house then filled with bun's painful screams.
his mother was squeezing the bite in order to get all the puss out.
it hurt bun so much,
he ended up passing out right on the kitchen table.

Ty remembers the giant spider. The huge eyes, long, fuzzy legs and the small ‘tap, tap, tap’ of it’s paws right in front of him. It was perched right on top of his purple egg he was decorating – just, staring at him. There was silence, then high pitched screaming.

Ty’s mama had rushed in to see what the ruckus was about, only to see her kit hopping desperately towards her. Ty remembers his mama’s soft laughter, her words of confusion and finally – her decision. Ty was told on that day that all life is precious, and was shown how to save the spider that was taken refuge in their den. At the end of the day, his mama had made her some hot chocolate with caramel drizzling and was wrapped in a fluffy blanket.

Ty took his mama’s words of wisdom to heart, and hasn’t harmed a single spider since; even if their eyes and legs still scared him to death.
