An Espeon! This fellow is a partner competition with Snipsnops' Umbreon. You must have a partner to enter, you cannot enter solo. You're free to search for partners within the EOTC discord!

This contest is relatively simple! What's their relationship with the Umbreon, and what kind of gift are they trying to find for them?
The relationship does not need to be romantic. They can be friends, family, mortal rivals, ect. No word limit but don't write a novel. Try to keep it brief. No extras outside of the main prompt. Art is also allowed, just don't go crazy lol

“I don’t know when this thing became a diary, but I swear that moody Umbreon drives me crazy! Just today I decided to graciously enlighten him to the joys of accessorizing and he ROLLED HIS EYES at me! He honestly thinks fur styling is more important than accessorizing! As if, ugh, honestly he’d be cute if it wasn’t for how uptight he is all the time.(the last bit is drawn through a few times in an attempt to make it not legible and theirs a bit of ink spilled on the page from panic.

“So today was crazy and I need to vent so I’ve yet again turned to here. I was exploring a cave looking for some gems and metals to use in jewelry when for some reason that brooding Umbreon showed up. I don’t even know why he was there honestly but we started arguing and I may have stepped on the tail of a sleeping Zweilous... I got caught off guard and that fiend actually protected me from the dragons breath. I don’t know how I feel about it, when he got hurt I protected him as well while he recovered. It was like my body moved on it’s own. I don’t know what I’d do if he got seriously injured. He’s gradually become someone I can’t stop thinking about, I’m not actually angry when I fight with him any more, but we’ve been like this for so long that I don’t know how to change. I think he’s started noticing though. I really just want to have an excuse to talk to him if I’m being honest with myself.”

“This will be the last time I write like this. I figured I should express how I feel somewhere but it’s too embarrassing to say out loud. I confessed my feeling for him today and my heart felt like it would explode. He was quiet for a while but then he asked me to be his partner in both life and business! We’re knocking down the wall in our duplex and offering referral services. I’m so excited to be able to see him every day. We still fight sometimes but no matter what we make it out okay and he understands me for me. I’m so luck to have him and want to be with him forever!

Relationship with Umbreon: In a relationship, but struggling to stay together
What gift are they trying to find?:

“Alright. I just need to find a Cherish gift for Prismite. What could possibly go wrong?”
Persephone sat and watched the sunset, alone. She and Prismite were once very much in love, but they have fallen apart, and now they were trying to make things work out. Persephone saw Cherish Day as an opportunity to grow closer to the Umbreon, and hopefully extend their relationship another day.
The moon was coming out now. As the sky got darker and darker, the first stars were embers in the sky. Persephone thought of how they met, a simple love at first sight, the embers of love flew. Just like the first stars in the sky. Small, weak, and insignificant. It seems that their relationship was like that once again. Was staying together really the best decision? The stars reminded her of that.
But she couldn’t end it. Not on Cherish Day.
Her thoughts turned to the stars again, now brighter. That’s how their love used to be. Those good times were the glue which was holding them together.
She realized the stars in the dark, night sky represented their relationship.
Persephone would give Prismite a vial of Stardust.

Yes, using them outside of EOTC/transferring them out is fine - my only real "rule" is that you ask before you make any changes to the design.
