Welcome to Rise!

Please make sure that you read the main thread so that you understand limits and levels!

To claim you must be at least level 1 or not have a founder in progress or a founder at all. Please be sure you have room in your clan before applying for this cat.

This cat may not be traded until: 2 months after date judged
There is a 2 month cooldown after each ownership change.
For a transfer to be official, both parties must post on this cat's page. The original owner must post in the archive.

I, too, am basing a cat off an older one I made??
Okay so fun fact I've never actually made any entries, being hired after the first MYO event, so I just decided to base this one slightly off the first MYO I made... this cursed being. Aggh,,,...
The last two eyes have been green so, not green. HAH.

What's an action this cat has committed in the past they've regretted? Did it ultimately lead for better and for worse? And why do they regret it?
is this based off my myo regrets, maybe.

Prompt;;
It was possible she was wrong about him. It seemed her life kept flipping back, and forth, and back again with him being hers - she didn't regret the kits. She loved her little joys more than everything else, than anyone else- but perhaps she could've chosen a better father for them.

He was always apologizing for his shortcomings and that made it all the more aggravating - 'I'm sorry, love, I didn't catch anything' - 'I'm sorry, dear, it wasn't what it looked like' - 'no, it's my fault Valerian, I'm sorry' - and it all sounded so genuine. She worried that is leaving him to go live with her brother she's actually made a mistake, yet another thing to regret in the whole mess, but he was so frustrating and, quite frankly, useless. He never did anything right and could hardly provide for them!

She knows it's only a matter of time before she goes back to him, though.
She says to herself - it's because it's helpless and you pity him, Valerian, let it go.
But it's not that.
She loves him, and that's the worst choice she has made in her whole existence.

Driving her siblings away. She thought they were using her to boost themselves in life, to get further using her demise. Only too late did she realise they wanted the best for her, and pushing her as they did was for the best. She realised too late to apologise, only when she met their friends did she realise they wanted to help everyone, anyone. She was too selfish to see it.

cat name;; partridge flight
gender;; molly
age;; 18 moons
clan;; valeclan
rank;; claw

prompt;; [ 469/500 ]
partridge was a promising young tenderfoot with a bright future ahead of her. growing up, she was always helping out others and doing all she could to make valeclan a better place. her parents expected big things from their only daughter, and pushed some ideals onto her that might have skewed her way of thinking. they claimed that the only thing that makes you matter in the clan is doing your part, and then some more to make up for the weight that weaker cats cannot put forward. this mindset somewhat warped partridge's sense of duty, and would eagerly reach out to help others to the point where she would collapse from exhaustion.

her troubles were noticed by some claws that had taken an interest in her health. they intervened in her self-destruction and told her that her parents were wrong. she did not have to keep giving until there was nothing else to give. they appreciated her presence just as she was, responsibilities or none.

their words struck a chord with young partridge in a way that hadn't before with her parents. but their overbearing presence bore down on the young molly, and she found herself torn on what to do. did she listen to her elders, and slow down? or continue to strive to make her parents proud?

partridge knew what she had to do: she had to put herself forward one more time before taking the break she deserved. and the opportunity had presented itself clearly. near the riverside, a marten had given birth to her kits a few days prior. and with the camp being so close, some of the claws were getting nervous about their proximity as well as the kits growing older. something had to be done.

while the marten mother was away, she would sneak into her set and kill the kits. it was the only way to redeem herself. maybe she would even earn her claw name sooner!

so in the dead of night, partridge found the den and slunk in to the back of the set. she was met with four crawling newborn kits. their eyes were not open, and they squirmed and squeaked as they picked up partridge's scent. she was hesitant; how could she kill them? as her thoughts drowned the outside world, partridge did not notice the marten mother coming back until she was halfway down the set.

with a furious swipe, the marten managed to slash open partridge's back as she squirmed her way back up the tunnel. it was a miracle she had escaped with just cuts and scrapes. running back to camp covered in blood, partridge swore against ever doing more than she had to again. it might have cost her life if she had not listened to her elders' cautionary words.

    I faked my own death.

I couldn't handle being surrounded by the watchful eyes of my brother. I felt like I could never do anything, I could never be who I wanted, I could never live. I was young, and wanted freedom. It was a terrible thing to do, and I know that now. I want you to know that I regret my actions, Sycamore. I never meant to hurt you, to put you through the pain of losing a sister.

After I left you, I felt like I could be myself. I felt like I was flying away from the forest, from where I trapped, always protected and never allowed to be my own cat. It was great... at least for the first few moons. As time went on, I realized just what you were protecting me from. I realized how much your protection meant in a world where everyone wants nothing else but to beat you down, to attack you from every angle. I was trapped now, but trapped by my own fear.

    I was lost.

I tried to find you again, I really did. But you had already moved on from our home, too distraught with the memories of me that our home gave you. I was never much of a tracker, that was always Acacia's job, so I thought you were gone from my life forever. Perhaps it was what I deserved, anyway, but I struggled. I thought I was going to be alone for the rest of my life.

But I found you again. I regret ever leaving in the first place. I know apologies can only do so much, but I've come back to you. And I never want to leave again.

Username;; Wet Bread
Cat Name;; Rosymaple
Gender;; trans tom (afab)
Age;; 35 moons
Clan;; Brightclan
Rank;; warrior

Prompt;;
Rosymaple's companions didn't treat him well. The group of cats he joined were supposed to provide him some much needed support. Instead they took advantage of his abilities and treated him like he was less than them. Every day seemed worse than the last to the point that Rosymaple hated these cats and was just ready to escape the group. However, before that day could come, The flames took the forest.

They swept through the trees in the middle of the night. Rosymaple awoke to the heavy smoke in the air. He moved into action quickly. He had to get out of camp before the flames reached him! He quickly realized that wouldn't be easy, the fire was already surrounding camp and trapping him. The other cats were nowhere to be seen, except for one. A very panicked Pretzalsnot met Rosymaple in the center of camp. Out of all the cats in the group, he was the worst. He was a bully to Rosymaple at every turn, and now he looked like a mewling kit.

"What do we do? Everyone just left us!" Pretzalsnot cried out, clearly struggling with his panic. Rosymaple stopped to look at their surroundings.

"We climb." He answered. The fire was claiming everything quickly, but the tops of the trees were still clear. Rosymaple was never the best climber but he was good at keeping himself poised in chaos. He climbed quickly while Pretzalsnot climbed.... sloppily. As they reached the topmost branch, Rosymaple and Pretzalsnot hauled themselves up on top of it. Rosymaple nodded to the next branch over. It was a short jump and the branch looked sturdier than the one they were currently perched on.

Rosymaple jumped first, reaching the branch easily and turned to wait for Pretzalsnot. The tom was shaking on his paws but still jumped. Just his claws managed to hook the branch.

"Help me!" Pretzalsnot called out desperately, his gaze flickering from Rosymaple to the flames rising below him. Rosymaple stared at the tom for a moment. If he waited just one more minute the tom would fall. He would be taken away by the flames, all his mistreatment of Rosymaple would be a thing of the past. Rosymaple moved. He grabbed Pretzalsnot by the scruff and hauled him on to the branch. The two escaped that day, Pretzalsnot thanking Rosymaple and promising to treat him as an equal from now on. Rosymaple wasn't sure what made him choose to save Pretzalsnot but he thought maybe part of him thought the tom could change. He was wrong.

Less than six moons later a new group was formed. Pretzalsnot took the leader position and Rosymaple tried his best to stand up for himself and input like an equal part of the group. This led to more bullying from Pretzalsnot. Eventually, Pretzalsnot injured Rosymaple and banished him forever. As Rosymaple left the group's territory, he was left to wonder once again, why did he save Pretzalsnot that day?

[506 words, slightly over but discussed]
      She regretted trusting the birds.

At a young age, she'd fallen in love with their wings; how gracefully they flew, and how much strength such feeble parts contained! Foolish and naiive, maybe, yet she was young, and her name had been "Bird;" how was she not to love the very beings that gave her such a lovely name?

With little whispers, they whisked her away from Hiraeth into the sun-touched mountains of "Eo'ias." Se'chi had brought with her berries wrapped in large leaves native to the Banana trees Hiraeth held so fondly, to which, she had brought no end of pain by stealing their healthy leaves. In the drought of summer, only their freshest leaves kept their entire being alive with the trunks help.

In the end, it hadn't mattered.

Se'chi, or "Chiiu," as the birds sung, wouldn't, and couldn't be deterred. Only the loss of a singular life - her own - could have ended these sightless, but not unsung journeys she made with the daylight beaming atop her. It felt like a smile, a welcoming beckon to join, the sunlight that is. "Come and play, Chiiu~" It whispered, petals crossing her path with the guidance of none but wind himself.

...and she did. Like the fool she'd played her entire life, she fell prey to the very forces that'd taken her parents. They'd passed with silent saccharine smiles, fur shimmering with unshed tears, though this, she wouldn't realize until it was far too late for her. Chiiu climbed with the birds, translucent torn wings outspread as if to match her friends, and her head lifted high towards the sky, berries messily marring her muzzle. Blind from sun, wind, and her own foolish nature, she missed the whistling whines of the birds, their eyes glinting with greed.

Sunpaths later, her greed would outnumber their own. Her claws stained with the ripest berries, and eyes narrowed with an almost fatal frost, she overtook them - outgrew their rules, their rhymes, and their bloodless battles. Chiiu knew no regret, only the burning heat in her stomach craving more. Like a dragon from tales beyond, the mountains became her cavern of call; her misplaced memories misted and memoralized only in the stains she dragged behind her.

Although she was no killer of being, she was a wakeless wonder. Deep in her conscious, she regretted this change, having loved her fun-loving self, and ignorance; knowing nothing had been a bliss of its own, spending days recounting stories she'd been told, but having lived none of it herself to put emotion to it. No, those were stains of the past, while she was the stain of the present. Beautiful, though her harm to the nature around her was far from the epitome of grace she'd aspired to be.

Perhaps that was her true regret; hearing an echo from those far beyond the birds, forces flying far less feebly than the rest.

If only, she had stuck with the birds, and the banana's.
If only, it were only leaves and berries staining her paws.
