Why:

There is a time of day, when the day begins to meet the night, that the desert skies start to transform into something absolutely incredible. Ever since Mesa was a tiny fledgling, they enjoyed seeing how colorful the sky would become. Inspired, wishing one day to add those bright colors to their own fur and scales, they would try to fly as high as they could to gather the colors and paint themselves. While they of course have yet to accomplish their dream, each night they fly higher and higher, trying again and again and determined never to give up in their goals.

Why: he's not one to brag, but his dappled wings look absolutely stunning in the moonlight. Not to mention how he fits right in with the night creatures. The owls are his friends and the crickets chirp along to the beating of his wings. Sometimes after an eventful and tiring night he will settle into a tree or on a hill and relax for the trip home, watching the stars and peacefully listening to the softened sounds of the night.

Why: Adder enjoys going out at dusk because thats when she finds it most peaceful. It's a mix of getting to watch the sun set and the world turning dark and enjoying both the night time bugs and the stars. She also prefers it over day because she would much rather have time to herself and not have others bother her.

Favorite Flying Time: Night, specifically during nights with very little moonlight and a clear sky.
Why: Aster loves stargazing, and reading stories about the constellations. He also loves sneaking up on his friends in the dark, though he’s not very good at it yet. His wings make too much noise, and alert them of his presence before he gets close enough. He’s not really getting any better at being sneaky, but don’t tell him that.

Why: Bowie soars above the trees as the sun peeks over the horizon. From the sky, he can watch the creatures of the Earth rise from their slumber and begin their day. He watches the leaves of the trees in the coming light, almost glowing, revitalized after spending many hours in the dark. The feathers on his wings are slowly warmed by the sun as it rises, the coloring and pattern becoming more prominent. The dawn brings a new day, with new possibilities. He loves wondering what he will do in the coming day; who will he meet? What will he see? He doesn't know, but he flies onward, eager for another beginning.
