Prompt: I am thankful that 2019 gave me the job I had always wanted, even if it was for a short time. I have always looked up to those that work on ropes courses, and I never thought that I'd see myself belay or even be able to consider working at camp. I stepped out of my comfort zone four years ago, and the camp director took a chance on me. In 2018, what would have been my final summer, I had been turned down for my dream job of being a ropes course manager. As 2019 started, and I began school, my schedule allowed for me to go back again - and I was welcomed with open arms to a senior ropes course position, which allowed me to grow as a person more than I ever thought possible. In three short months I learned more about myself and became more confident than ever, thanks to that position. I don't know yet if I'll be able to do it again this year, or if they'll want to give the job opportunity to someone else, but I cannot thank 2019 enough for allowing me to realize that I am more capable than I thought.

I am so unbelievably thankful for my health. Though it isn't perfect, I'm constantly working hard to improve myself, especially this year. I've changed my entire diet to make myself healthier, and I'm not going to stop. I'm on my way to being a better, healthier person. And I'm proud of my strength that has given me the ability to do so.

I was so lucky to have found an amazing group of people at the wildlife facility who helped me figure out which new direction I wanted my life to go in. And I'm so grateful to have been accepted to the college of my dreams (and I even got a scholarship!!). So yeah, it's been a scary year full of big changes, but also one of the most satisfying because I feel like I finally have a solid direction to go in ♥️
