On the second day of winter my true love gave to me... ice royalty!

    Lion Name: allegra
    Lion Gender: female
    Pride: the kingdom of highsun
    Pride Status: vendette
    Their Effect:
allegra has a aura of elegance, a feel that she's genuine no matter what. that people can't help but like her
those 'weak' enough or 'naive' fall under the aura quickly, those who have outright doubts and refuse the aura
(unknowingly or knowingly) see through and past it like a mist. those who fall under the aura seem to trust allegra
easily and she seems always genuine to them. a true friend, one they can trust with their life. she seems to have no
    flaws. wip

    Lion Name: Dashuri
    Lion Gender: Male/Lion
    Pride: Flame Valley Pride
    Pride Status: Hunter
Their Effect: I hope no one is lactose intolerant because this is way too cheesy
With a striking coat, glorious mane, and eyes like the cosmos, it’s pretty clear what effect this lion has on his pridemates. Even the most stoic of members find themselves knock-kneed and doe-eyed at the start of any conversation with the dashing male.
With a name that means ‘love’, it’s easy for the single females in the pride to swoon over his easy smile or a confident wink. Even Ora and Ashara, both lesbians, find themselves stumbling over their words when speaking with him, finding his aura overpowering and his easy beauty distracting.
Djall, the large, bulky guard, acts like a lovestruck kitten around Dashuri, constantly flopping over his own paws in an attempt to impress the other male. His showoffishness and attempts to flaunt his strength don’t go unnoticed, but it’s often due to the fact that... well... most of his attempts end up with him landing on his face... or his behind.
Usizi, the shy, soft-spoken lioness, finds her words lost around Dashuri, making some sort of mumbled excuse to escape the gravitational pull of the bright male.
Kuhani, the pale Skywatcher, while confident and kind, finds herself flustered if looking into the eyes of the handsome male, her whitish nose often turning pink in embarrassment.
Not even the pride’s founder is safe from the alluring aura of the male, getting lost in the shades of his eyes... The toss of his head... The ease of his smile... The-
      “Y’alright, sir?”
The reddish skin on Sarasa’s nose isn’t immune to the blushes that rise after getting caught in a daydream...
The only one who seems to be above falling from her graces is Aurelia, the ace female finding the shenanigans of her pride mates hilarious. She can see the allure, though, and enjoys brushing others up around him. The two of them can often be found giggling at the riverside about something, or the antics of someone!

Dashuri doesn’t mean to have the effect that he has on others, however, and, if he could turn it off, he would. Aurelia is his best friend in the pride, because she’s the only one who could have an honest and proper conversation with.
He may have a superpower, but when things slide to a halt when he walks into camp... He sometimes finds it more of a hindrance than a help!

Lion Name: Tartarus
Lion Gender: Male
Pride: Isle of Roses
Pride Status: Rogue
Their Effect:
A brown lion awoke to the feeling of cold. "Wind?" He murmured groggily, noticing the presence of another lion in the den and assuming it was his favored mate. When there was no response, the lion was a bit thrown off, and began to climb to his feet.
Except, he couldn't get his feet to move.
"W-Wind?" he said again, starting to grow nervous as the cold feeling continued to grow.
He swung his paws in front of him, trying to push himself upwards, but his back paws refused to cooperate. He turned his head back to see what could possibly obstruct them, only to notice on odd sheen. Was it just him, or did they seem a bit bluer than before? A snicker echoed in the darkness, causing him to look away.
"Who goes there?" The panicked lion demanded.
Into the light stepped a blue and pink lion, a wide and sinister smile on his face. "Hello there, Dune. There's no use struggling."
Dune gaped. "Excuse me? How did you get in here? Guards!"
The intruder tilted his head and grinned even wider. "Oh, they can't hear you."
"What?" The cold feeling continued to inch up his body, but Dune was too distracted to notice.
"They can't hear you. I've already perfected them."
Dune stared and blinked in confusion. "Who are you? What does that mean?"
"My name," the intruder drawled, walking closer, "is Tartarus. You are the leader of the Coalition, Dune. You don't want to lose that, do you?"
"Of course I don't," he hissed in response.
Tartarus sat down in front of him. "That's what I thought. Well, I've helped you. I've immortalized your pride in its perfection. You'll never have to lose control."
It was only then that Dune realized he could no longer feel his front paws, or move them. When he looked down, his heart filled with dread. It was as if they were made...of solid...ice...
"What have you done?" He roared, unable to raise himself up any higher to face Tartarus.
"Lions grow old and die. Become imperfect and forgotten. I'm immortalizing you. Now you'll never die." He said it as if it was simple, and before Dune could respond, turned and began to exit the den.
"Who are you? What did I do to deserve this? Come back!" Dune continued to roar, but before long, it came to an abrupt halt.
From outside the den, Tartarus surveyed the Coalition's camp. Several lions were frozen in positions of panic outside of their dens, either fleeing from the dens or having already been out as guards; inside, some had been too late to run. Some never even got the chance to wake up.
They were perfect now. Now, none of them would ruin their pride.
"Now to see who is next."

Lion Name: Vivek
Lion Gender: Male
Pride: Motoheri Pride
Pride Status: Ambassador
Their Effect:
Urricea bit back a growl of frustration, though couldn't keep her smile from growing a bit sharper. Across from her, a neighboring king fumed.

"A non-aggression agreement!" He crowed. "Don't make me laugh, girl! I know who you are and I know where you're from," he spat at her paws, "you lot are anything but peaceful. Any sort of treaty with you pride, even if it did trust you, would tarnish the name of my dynasty and my pride. No, your group of heathens will have no sympathy from us."

Just breathe. Just breathe.

Vivek's apprentice was cowering at her side. This was the young lion's first meeting as an Apprentice Ambassador. Their mentor should be here, Urricea thought bitterly. Though she hated to admit it, Vivek was much better at this than she ever hoped to be.

Urricea allowed a slight, contemplative frown to fall before the rival king.

"Your words are harsh, your Majesty. However, I do understand. The mention of my pride stings the ears, I am sure, but I must implore you to wait for the return of my compatriot before any final decisions are made." She dipped her head respectfully to the king.

He huffed.

"Send the little one after him." The king grumbled. "I don't have all day."

Urricea dipped her head graciously, and quickly sent Vivek's apprentice off to find their mentor. By the time they returned, the king had worked himself back into a fit; screaming insults of the direst sort at Urricea. The instant the blue ambassador set foot in the room, the rival king paused. The very next, all eyes were on Vivek.

Urricea let out a relieved sigh. A sense of calm washed over her as Vivek padded closer, his apprentice trailing close behind. Had she been mad at Zeki earlier? She couldn't remember.

Vivek grinned a dazzling white smile. "I apologize for my lateness, your Majesty." He said, dipping his head to the king. "You know how it is, I'm sure." His purple gaze rested expectantly on the king.

The sovereign shifted on his paws and glanced away briefly. "Yes, I do." He conceded, faintly aware he was unsure of what it was he agreed with, other than it was what this blue lion said.

Vivek smiled again, his patient gravity dawning into sunny optimism. "We have a good deal in common, then! I had no idea."

"No," The king replied distantly, "neither did I."

After Vivek's appearance, the rest of the meeting went in a similar fashion. Every lion in the room found themselves agreeing with each of his suggestions and proposals, remarking that they couldn't have come up with better. Some were more resistant to the charm than others; they questioned why they agreed with the simplest statement from this desert-dwelling stranger, but couldn't collect the will to disagree or speak out. Not that there was anything to speak out against - Vivek wasn't wrong, he never was - but there was a great, fuzzy confusion that hung over their heads they felt the blue lion may understand in some way.

Before anybody knew it, the terms for another meeting were decided upon, with the strong implication a non-aggression policy at the least would be decided upon. Vivek and his associates swept from the room, leaving many a dazed lion in their wake.

Lion Name: Charon
Lion Gender: Male
Pride:Mystic Isle
Pride Status: TBD
Their Effect: [300-600 words] For as long as Charon's known he's been an empath. Able to accurately read other lions emotions, often asking direct questions to others, why are you sad Mum? Why does Dad feel so guilty? What is auntie hiding? Some embraced his talents, enjoying the way he understood them like no one else could, but others didn't see it that way. To them this cub was invading their privacy, seeing behind the masks they put on each day to see the darkness beneath. He was a threat to their secrets and lies.

So they shunned him. None of the other cubs were allowed to play with him, hardly of the others in the pride would talk to him, some wouldn't even look at him. The kind were outnumbered by the scared.

It wasn't missed by the perceptive youngster and sadness bloomed. A cloud of misery settled over his pride. Lions lashed out to ease the darkness that seemed to lurk. Charon's mother gave him gifts and attention to distract him from the others distrust. She couldn't help but feel her own sadness lift as she watched her son play, but as she looked out at her pridemates she could see the same joy in them. A childlike enjoyment filled with naivety and playfulness.

Worry and horror broke through the warm feelings that had been surrounding her and her young son Charon looked up as if he felt it happen. He probably did, his mother thought as she picked the cub up in her mouth. He was getting too big for it but she had to leave as fast as possible. Before they found out about the effect her cub had.

They became rogues, separated from others in an effort to protect Charon. His mother constantly warned him of lions who would try and use him for their own nefarious purposes. He had what could be a blessing but in the wrong paws was easily a curse.

His powers leaked out though, whenever he had strong emotions it transferred to others. He quickly had to learn to control himself, to not feel fear and anxiousness when others threatened him and his mother. It was hard to help though, his mother was getting older each day, less and less able to protect him.

He was reaching adulthood when his mother didn't wake up. That was the day he learnt true numbness. He had to keep wandering alone. The silence eroded his thoughts, the prey didn't fill up the hole in his heart.

The moment a lion tackled him on the island he previously thought was deserted he didn't feel fear. The lion wasn't angry though, not like others he'd met. No, she was curious and more than a little hopeful.

At the look on his face she offered some of her own food. The simple generosity of that action sparked something that had been lacking in Charon for too long. With a start he realised that it was his own hope. A hope that not everyone was all bad, and that maybe, just maybe there was somewhere he could belong.
