Mocha has never really celebrated holidays before. Of course, he’s gone to parties, but he never interacted with anyone there. He liked to stay in his little den in a smaller corner of the field that some bunnies resided. When Christmastime rolled around, everyone was hopping around, placing poinsettias in brushes, placing the flowers that glowed around their den to make the field glow. Mocha’s den, well it was bare. He hasn’t ever decorated for Christmas before, and doesn’t even know where to start. And, to be honest, he was a little scared to ask. What if the other rabbits laughed at him? What if they mocked him? Rationally, he knew that the ideas in his head her far-fetched and would never actually happen, but the fear of those scenarios still stuck around.

Three days before Christmas, everyone was bursting around. Some threw glances at his small den, seeing the darkness compared to the glowing flowers around everyone elses’ dens. Mocha was getting antsy, he could feel eyes on him almost constantly. So, he turned tail. Grabbed one of his books; something on adventuring, maybe about a pirate, but he couldn’t remember – and bounded for the hills. Of course, he would come back before nightfall – he didn’t want to come back when the forest gets too scary. But, for now, he lept around the trees – finding that perfect spot to read. By the time he looked up from his book, the sun had fell halfway in the sky. He traveled back to his den, only to stop. The loud sound from other bunnies had vanished, it seemed almost scarily silent.

Mocha cautiously hopped forward, to see them all in front of his den. All of them had some sort of decorations in their possession; Reina had the glowing flowers, Kori had some berries and other plants, Marshall even had a small tree, even though he was scowling. Once he came closer, he heard their explanation. They wanted to help him decorate. They all saw how empty his den was, and gathered everything that might be needed. Mocha was silent, in shock. He started to smile, then giggled a little.

He came closer, grabbed the small star from Marshall and said, “I would love to decorate with you all.” They spent the night throwing tinsel around, putting up glowing flowers and drinking some sweet cocoa.

As Woody walked at 11:57 PM on Christmas Eve, he wasn’t a huge fan of Christmas either… he walked very slowly, his paws crunching into the snow as his cold breath puffed out of him. He was basically the only one on the street, when he heard his collar jingle. He tilted his head, what was that strange noise? Then it got louder, but this time it wasn’t his collar… It was Santa Clause! He was amazed, but at the same time, he wasn’t sure it was real. But overall this memory, at midnight, making it Christmas, he remembers Jingle Bells, over a radio he had walked past. This experience made Jingle Bells his favourite song, and the lyric: “Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.” The reason this is his favourite lyric is because it reminds him of how his collar jingled, then Santa joined in. After this sighting, Christmas is now one of his favourite holidays to celebrate, and to celebrate greatly too.

Writing: as holli woke up she saw a bit of snow fall from the sky. "the first snowflake! it is finally here!" holli rushed to her basement and grabbed a box of holiday decorations. holli rushed to decorate her home as fast as she could. holli ran around her house putting up Christmas lights and wreaths. after she had at least 5 fake trees up she sat down and began to make paper snowflakes and stars, which she would put all over her home. she rushed around adding all the decorations to each spot in her home. in quite a few hours she was down to one last box of indoor decor. she began to unpack the box, it was always her favorite box to unpack. the box had tree toppers and a few snow globes. all but two of the snow globes were handmade by holli, one was made by her mother and no one knew where the last one came from, it had been in the family forever and holli would not be the last to own it.

as holli took out the last snow globe she saw something, a DIY snow globe kit. holli held it up in the air, the last time she made a snow globe she was only a kit. she opened the box and to her surprise a snow globe was already in it. the snow globe game with a note it read "to holli, i know Christmas is not really my thing but her is a gift signed~ " whoever sent the note had not signed it. holli smiled and put the snow globe with the others. soon she had a knock on her door, it was her best friend and crush,
peter, she had called him to help decorate outside. he helped her put up Christmas lights and inflatable snowmen, reindeer, and a large Santa decoration. he shook his head as he left. "you know you are forgetting thanksgiving again right?" he called out to holli. "what's thanksgiving?" holli joked, as she went to make sure her house was fully decorated.

A smile spread from ear to ear as his tail wiggled enthusiastically, and he begins to inquire about how much you LOVE his decor! “So??? Do you love it?? Or do you REALLY REALLY LOVE it????”

You chuckle and fluff up the floof on his head with your fingers. “I really really love it, Cheshire. It certainly suits you.”

Once you’re finished taking in all the scenery, you begin to inquire about some of Cheshire’s other favorite holiday traditions. When the little bunny began to blabber on about his favorite Halloween traditions, you have to correct your sentence, clarifying that it’s Christmas you’re wondering about, not Halloween. His kitten shaped ears flatten as he blushes, and he giggled at his overexcitement for the wrong occasion.

“So what’s your favorite Christmas song? Let’s start off easy” you asked him. Cheshire paused to ponder for a moment. His face lit up as if a light bulb went off, and his little feet were tippy-tapping as he began to sing “Making Christmas” from The Nightmare Before Christmas. You laugh aloud again as you watch his striped figure dance around the room. “Of course, what else should I have expected from a Halloween nut?”
