woo here's my first kiddo as a full time artist! I'm really happy to join the team and make some more of these guys for you all c:

I'm in a mood-board kind of mood so that's exactly what this comp will be!
there's also an extra of up to 250 words or 1 art piece (doesn't necessarily have to relate to the mood board)

Strudel scowled hearing the car engine rear up. She gave the cat one last scratch behind the ear as the cat’s deep purr rose from his throat. “Sorry buddy, I have to go,” Strudel sighed. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and headed toward the car. The cat’s head turned with curiosity as he got up and trotted behind Strudel unknown to the cheery girl. The cat sneaked into the backseat right behind Strudel. With a smile the taxi driver, who had gotten out to open the open for her, snickered at the cat. He didn’t tell Strudel though, he wanted her to figure it out for herself. After driving for a few minutes, two yellow eyes startled Strudel as she turned her head to look out the other window. “Oh look, a stowaway!” She chuckled. She patted the seat next to her and the cat jumped up onto her hand. He attempted to fluff up where he decided to lay and flopped onto his stomach. Strudel rubbed the cat the whole ride before the car halted to a stop. “Oh dear, where will you go?” Strudel asked aloud to herself. She looked back at her apartment then back at the cat. “I could make this work,” she muttered as she began to shove her belongings in her backpack aside to make room for her new friend.

"There is something missing, I just can't put my finger on it."
Mariana mumbled her eyes glued to the splattered canvas before her. Citizens came from far and wide to view her artwork, and yet the artwork she was to display tonight at the king's gala didn't look as she felt it should. It was infuriating and she had stared at this canvas for hours now, attempting to solve the issue. It only seemed to grow with each additional color.

"Perhaps it is your eyes fooling you Mari?" came a familiar voice from behind the frustrated painter.
"Giada, thank the heavens, You don't see it? Quite Impossible. Your as much an artist as me!" Mariana commented, turning to greet her best friend.
"I'm a dressmaker darling, not a painter, and I can't possibly have an eye for this sort of expression."
mariana huffed, disappointed at giada's response.
"Well, let us just say, it's very much you Mariana. The king will adore it, so quit your fussing and let me get my form of art done."
with this Giada ushered Mariana forward, a measuring tape in one hand and pushpins in the other. "Can't have you looking like a painter in front of the king can we?" Giada commented with a teasing smile. A gentle smile stole Mariana's expression as she suppressed laughter. "At least I won't look like a buffoon. Thank you Giada."
