Euphorian Thoroughbred #311

Postby DeadlyArcana » Mon Nov 04, 2019 2:19 pm

Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Show Name: Singing Waterlily
Barn Name: Lilly, sometimes referred to as the Blonde Kelpie, Lilly Gator or WaterBird by her fans.
Gender: Mare
Age: 6 years old
Height: 14.5 hh
Halter: Chocolate Brown, light cream metal accents
Discipline: Dressage. she is known for her graceful steps and easy rhythm and her fluid beautiful movements when out doing dressage, to anyone that has seen her in action they can tell she has an obvious love it.
Competition: Lilly is absolutely obsessed and infatuated with water, doesn't matter how much or how small, could be a tiny puddle and she would still get a kick out of splashing in it! Or using her muzzle to blow air bubbles into it or push it around and make a mess.

She loves a good hose down and usually causes all kinds of mischeif during washing. Rain is her absolutely favourite thing and it can be hard to catch her on a rainy day if out in the pasture, and God forbid she finds a big enough puddle she WILL roll in it.

Even as a foal she enjoyed water, whilst some would be more timid and afraid to try it, hence the name Lilly (as in the flower that blooms on top of water) as her owner was immused by her growing love of the liquid. She was originally called StarFire after the owners dog that passed away a few weeks before her birth that had boasted a soft sandy coat like the foal, but 'little lily' soon stuck as the foals nickname as she saw the foals antics grow over time and changed it to Lilly.

Her mother had given birth to her without complication during a thunder storm, her owner theorised that this is what caused her to first love water due to the rushing soothing sound of the rain due to it not being a violent storm that night she was born.

After a good day of eventing she gets taken down to the beach near their Stable and has absolutely no fear of the waves, even when it gets rough, and she loves nothing more then splashing and swimming out into it on a hot day, happily going deep enough to no longer touch the sand beneath her hooves n swimming freely, which is where her kelpie nickname came from after her owner started recording videos of her water antics and taking bareback rides on her as she swam in the ocean like she was born to be there.

When she's done swimming u bet she will shake out her long flowing wet mane like a dog and soak everyone around her, she is just a happy go lucky and slightly immature mare whose love for water is unmatched!

I have such a weakness for palomino and cremello horses so I couldn't refuse this chance X3 they are gorgoues ;w;

Show Name: Devil's Advocate
Barn Name: Addi
Gender: Mare
Age: 6 years
Height: 16.1hh
Halter: Brown Leather
Discipline: Eventing
Competition: As a little filly, she was actually terrified of water. She refused to even go into a pasture with a small puddle. We think she feared water so much because she was actually afraid of storms. Her prior owner had left her out with her mother one night, and a surprise storm hit. It was a really bad storm, bringing trees down, starting some trees on fire with lightning strikes, the whole shebang.

Since coming to Elysian Eventing, we have worked to desensitize her. She is no longer afraid of water, but she's still a bit jumpy when it comes to storms. She really loves to wade around in the water now! Her favorite thing to do is do to the lake near our stable and just play around in the water with our other mare Queen.

She loves water so much that sometimes when we go to the lake and I'm on her back, she lays down and immediately starts rolling in the water... Thankfully after the first time we went to the lake, I realized she does this, so now we always have to rider her bareback into the lake or else she finds some way to ruin a saddle!

    Show Name: Watercolour Wraith
    Barn Name: Wraith
    Gender: Mare
    Age: 6 Years, 9 months
    Height: 17.1hh
    Halter: Magenta
    Discipline: Show Jumping
    Competition:
Wraith adores water. I found that out the hard way.

"She's a great all-rounder," They said, "With those long legs, she'd be a fantastic cross country prospect," they said.
So, I had no issues with tacking her up, taking her out to the course. My only other Cross Country competitors were stallions - I'd love to add a mare into the mix. She took to the course like... well, like a duck to water, taking off across the soft, spring grass with a springing gallop, full of the vigour of life. After a few bucks and tugging of reins, she settled right into her stride, flying across the flat section of the course.
And, when I turned her to a jump, she cleared it without so much of a blink, and any worry I had about her spooking at the unusual jumps melted away into excitement. She slid over the tree trunks like there were nothing but a twig upon the ground, bouncing over tires and bush fences like they were nothing but a crosspole in an arena.
My enthusiasm was soaring as we thundered towards the second half of the course, scrambling down a bank with barely a slow of speed. She jumped over a wide ditch with barely any effort, and I don't think I could have stopped her in that moment. Not that I had any desire to. I loved the thrill of cross country, but this was something different. This was like magic.
Bounding over an angle jump, I turned her towards the water, a short jump down, one jump inside and one jump out constituting the water area. To my surprise, she slid to a stop before the jump down, ears pricked to show me that she was studying the area before her. Dropping the reins to allow her to use her nose to explore the jump, I was shot backwards in the saddle like a ragdoll as she took off, plunging over the fence and into the water. As she landed, I jarred down into the saddle, with a guttural noise, losing both of my stirrups in the process. Clinging to the saddle desperately, Wraith tilted, shifting her weight and tossing me into the cold, crisp water. A gasp drew air into my lungs as I clambered to stand, to get myself out of the water. Thoughts of Wraith only crossed my mind when I was standing, my riding clothes dripping with water that only seemed to get colder by the second.
I turned to the cremello mare, only to drop my head into my hands.
She was laying down in the water, shaking her nose to create waves and splashes. She was clearly getting as much enjoyment out of this as she had the journey here, except now, my clothes and her tack were ruined. I walked over dejectedly, taking the reins in my hands, but she refused to budge, shooting me a saddened look when I tried to get her to stand. Begging, I tugged again, and she stood, dejectedly, pawing with the water before following me to the stables.
      Water troughs, buckets, puddles, hoses.
Nothing is safe when Wraith is around. She'll find her way to get as much of herself as she can inside, and if she can't get in, she'll find a way to get the water out. It's impossible to keep her clean... ever, because her pelt is constantly either mud-stained or damp.
Show jumping was a much drier career option.

Show Name: Shot In The Dark
Barn Name: Finch
Gender: Mare
Age: 6 Years
Height: 15.2 HH
Halter: deep brown with silver buckles
Discipline: Therapy Horse
Competition: Finch is very particular about how, and when, she enjoys the water. In the summer, she absolutely loves running through the heavy rain, though any amount of thunder will have her rushing back to her stall faster than she left it. She likes the sounds of running streams, and likes even more to drink the cool water they contain, but only ever crosses them if she really needs to. She hates water that gets any deeper than just below her knees, and would much rather bask in the sun than go splashing around in the pond. Mud puddles, however… Well, she seems to have a nose for them. Let her out for only a few hours after a rainstorm, and she’ll come back in almost completely caked in deep brown mud, happy as can be. Though, the puddles get her to her favorite kind of water: Pleasantly warm coming from a fancy hose, accompanied with plenty of barn hands scrubbing all the muck from her coat. So, while she’s no natural born swimmer, or frog disguised as a horse, she does have her own ways of enjoying the water.

Show Name: NC Angels Tears
Barn Name: Sera (from seraphim) AND Kelpie (the mythical water horse) (she responds to both)
Gender: mare
Age: 3.5 years
Height: 16.3 hh
Halter: silver
Discipline: cross country/trail
Competition: Sera/Kelpie is the most adventurous mare I know, it seems like he goal is to explore all of God’s creation with her own eyes, especially the water. Out of all the horses I have seen in my lifetime, I have not seen a mare that loves water so much. Whether it’s a bath, a pond, an ocean, or even a puddle, she LOVES to sink he hooves in and indulge in it. She has been like this ever since she was a foal, and has even tried to get her paddock-Mates to try it too! It’s quite funny to watch her, she puts one hoof in a puddle and then goes back to nudge the poor soul of the paddock-mate into the water. Most horses try to kick her, but she is nimble enough to dodge and try again.
I can do commissions! This is an example below. BTW this is my OC Quilin!
