The group had only been out for a pawful of hours when someone calls out to them. In the distance, distorted by the heat is a Cat who comes trotting up to them. "Hi, I'm lost. I was wondering if I could come with you. I can pay you for your help!" The cat holds out a pawful of Sparks, and the group agree and lead the cat back to the train tracks. Once they get there, the cat looks around and then asks to join their group, as they didn't want to be alone anymore. The group agree.

Haze is following a snake trail, hoping to find the beast that left it. Unfortunately, it goes much father than she's willing to go, so she abandons the efforts. But her travels aren't for naught, as she finds a fully intact shed Snake Skin wedged between some rocks, and she takes it with her. Following the trail back to where she started, a random cat rushes up to her and shoves a ton of Sparks into her paws without a word before dashing away again. Confused, she takes the Sparks and heads home.

The two decide to look around the tracks today, and find an abandoned Canteen, which is full of water. The scent staining it was stale: no one was coming back for it any time soon. Instead of letting it go to waste, they take it with them. Blanc finds some Sparks at the entrance to a hole, and while grabbing them a viper attacks!

She leaps back just in time to avoid a bite and hisses at it. Distracting it by swiping and darting in, Buster moves in behind her and on top of the snake den, before bearing down with his weight and causing it to collapse on the snake. The sparks come out unscathed, and they take their prize before scurrying away to avoid another scrap once the snake figures out how to get out.

Lakestar and Lilytail end up in an empty patch of land, not a plant or a soul in sight other than the Buzzards that fly overhead. The two end up in a dried up pond, or something of the likes, and to their horror they find it's a graveyard of skeletons. Creeping carefully forward, they notice every skeleton's head is missing. That's not creepy at all. And to their horror, there seems to be cats among the other animals. The only skeleton that's head isn't missing is a Bighorn Sheep Skull, so the two decide to take it. With how heavy it is, the two decide to bring it home before heading back out.

Lucky decides not to venture out into the desert and instead stay close to the tracks. It's better not to go too far before he gets to know this place better and knows how to get back. This time Hector decides to explore and old, rusted locomotive, lying turned over a little way from the tracks. The metal on it is bent in places and corroded. It's definitely very old and has been through some serious accident. As Hector makes his way into it, a cat comes out from inside and the two bump into each other. The climate may be harsh and unwelcoming, but the cats are perfectly nice to each other. The starnger likes Hector so much he'd like to become friends and join him! +1 cat with an uncommon edit!

The Outlaws traverse the tracks in search of sellable items and are successful in their endeavour, +1 shiny small screw (worth 9 sparks)
When they're both distracted by their new find, a snake attacks by launching itself at LilyTail. The two cats react quickly. Lily jumps out of the way avoiding the attack and Lake bops the snake on the head with his paw. The two cats swing at the the predator a couple of times and the snake slithers away, defeated.
