Lion name: Koi
Lion gender: Lion/Male
Pride: Link in signature - The Pride of Wikimak
Pride status: Makisa of the Kwahu - Leader of the hunters
Reaction: Koi seems like your usual, average lion most days. He hunts very well for the pride and does his best to provide only the freshest meals to, both, the pride and to Wicasa for offering... But, on a certain day of the week, the male tends to wander off, away from the pride and from the territory, off to another place. He usually leaves for the entire day and doesn't come back until nightfall. He never takes anything with him and never comes back with anything either, save for, perhaps, a few burdock stick-tights on his mane or on his sides nowadays.
The lions within the pride have yet to ask just what he does, so they have assumed that he must go explore the areas around the pride. After all, he seems like the adventurous type. Still some others believe he is looking for treasure, or perhaps had lost something and is still trying to find it, wherever it is. Unfortunately, none are close to the actual truth. (169 wc)
Reality: The reality of the situation is he goes to visit someone. Every week, on a certain day, the Makisa will leave his pride and travel through the forest and past the prairie, into the marshlands that come thereafter. There, he follows a particular trail he had set up for himself, all the way to a particular willow tree with beautiful blue flowers growing around it and a pair of claw marks etched into the bark. He'll make his way to the tree, settle down amidst it's long, slender leaves and stare upon the stone. Only after a time does he begin speaking.
"Hello, darling... I'm back again. I'm sorry it's been so long, but I've got work to do now in that pride I've told you about. They always have plenty for me to do, you know... Heh, I'm sure you remember, love. You were there once, too..."
He speaks and spends time at his mate's grave, speaking and talking to her as if she were really there. In a way, it seems to bring him closure... He'll stay with her all day until the sun begins to set, after which he will make the trip back home.
He misses her dearly... But, unfortunate as it is, nothing will ever bring her back. (213 wc)
