Those who decided to pick up the fur and follow the trail in that direction were led to a clearing with three animals: a rabbit, a crow, and a barn cat. Perhaps one of them knew something about the three missing kits?

If you decided to follow the footprints, then you were led in a circle, only to go right back where you came. And for those who went toward the rustling, the figure of a large dog could be seen as you got closer. Panicked, you carefully and quietly make your way back the way you came. It took awhile, but those of you who chose the wrong path eventually made it to the clearing.
