With markings that look like sea spray, I thought that Thally's name needed to be something marine-inspired. The name Thalassa comes from Greek mythology, Thalassa being the primeval spirit of the sea. In the tales, the sea was blamed for shipwrecks, and branded the 'enemy of men'. Thalassa appears to those people, telling them that the wind is truly to blame for these storms. When the sea and the wind collide in this way, sea spray is inevitable, and thus, there is where Thalassa's name came from!
