Azilrim was born in the Underworld and was brought up by two young demons. Even as a young dhuedula, he was quite hard to control at times, let alone teach, but somehow these two managed to teach him how to behave.
When the king died and the two demons got banished from the kingdom by the new ruler along with the late one’s most loyal soldiers and servants, Azilrim was devastated, to say the least. In an attempt to go and look for
Nitzan and
Dror, Zil was captured by the guards and became one of the new king’s many pets.
After many failed attempts, he finally managed to run away, taking his prized necklace, and went to look for his family.
During his search, he somehow ended up in a town in the human’s realm. It’s safe to say he was really freaked out at first. He hid most of the time, behind trashcans and cardboard boxes, and it happened that sometimes he was spotted by passersby. Lucky for him, he was fast and hid as soon as he realized he was being stared at.
And also lucky for him, it didn’t take long until he found the two demons! Or, rather, he was found by them.
With the help of their human friend, Nitzan and Dror were alerted of the presence of a creature that was roaming the streets, and they were able to track him down and find him.

"I once found this book about strange creatures in an old library. This was, of course, when me and my brother were just kids. Every time we picked up this book, our attention always went to this one species, the dhuedula, and we always wondered about how awesome it would be to have one. As a pet, you know. Then, we found out it's a pretty rare species, but my brother just couldn't drop the subject. So I wasn't really surprised when one day, he came home with an egg that looked just like the one in the book. I... kind of just accepted it rather than ask where he got it from.
I later learned that this idiot stole it from a merchant...

Their height varies from 3ft to 7, but the book states that even some 8ft ones have been spotted before, so if you're lucky, you can even ride them like a horse. They are carnivores, have a quite flexible body, and they hide away during the night. And that claw-like thing on their tails? That's like the fangs of a snake. The store the venom in their tail, and the venom gland is located in their tail, just around the middle. I must mention that it's quite a deadly venom, as well.
"I also have to say they're quite good at mimicking the voices of other animals, and some are even able to mimic speech too! So... In a way, they're like parrots."

Zil is a little 3ft tall troublemaker. He loves to chew on things, jump on people, steal your jewelry and accessories, wrap himself up in your scarves and curtains… Basically, he’s a living example of trouble and mischief.
“Teaching him how to behave even for just an hour was a nightmare.” says Dror.
And to be fair, he’s right. It’s not just the fact that Azilrim didn’t want to behave, he even had Nitzan to learn pranks from. And boy, did he learn those well…
Azilrim is one of those rare dhueduli who can mimic speech, just like a parrot! It’s always fun to hear him trying to say things with his croaky voice, but not exactly when it’s 3am and he thought he heard a noise.
Because in fact, this little creature gets really jumpy when the night falls.
But despite his size and how bad he usually acts, he’s always ready to defend those who treat him well.He’s just a lovable little jerk of a creature. <3
