Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Memory: Pontiac has several good memories at West Coast Equestrian Center, but the one that stands out in particular is when he first met his best friend, Lengend. It was just a few weeks after Pontiac arrived. He was sold for a fortune to the equestrian center. He was turned out into the pasture, but this time with a stallion he had never met before, Legend. Legend had been at the equestrian center before Pontiac, but he was just recently moved to a different stall and pasture after he had bothered a mare by hitting on her, and she eventually kicked him in the jaw. As Pontiac was grazing, Legend noticed a different mare in the pasture next to his. The stallion tried talking to her, but she wasn't interested. Legend decided he had to impress her. There was a stable hand next to the barn, eating lunch. Legend decided to jump the fence. His jump was successful, but his landing left him rolling across a dirt path. Pontiac could hear the mare snickering, and couldn't help but join in. Legend just got up and shook the dust off of him. He trotted up to the stable hand without alerting him. Legend snatched his lunch and galloped to the fence. This time his jump was completely successful. He brought a cheese quesadilla to the mare. The mare was not impressed. In fact, she was disappointed. Legend, humiliated, walked to the middle of the pasture, plopped down, and began to eat the quesadilla on his own, with the stable hand yelling in the background. Pontiac eventually walked up to the mare, and convinced her to give Legend a chance, considering how hard he tried for her. From that day on, Pontiac and Legend became inseparable.

Cuckoo’s favourite memory is a simple one - his first trip out as a hunter.
He had heard his human using the term many times - “He’ll make a good hunter”, “Look at those long legs, he’s a hunter for sure!” - and it made his nervous. What did that mean? What was a hunter? Was he going to kill something? He didn’t want to do that, not ever, so why were the humans speaking like this?
But, soon enough, the day came, and he was tacked up and lead out of the barn. His human could sense his nerves, giving him constant pats and scratches, but nothing settled him. As they neared their destination, Cuckoo found himself growing more and more nervous. Horse after horse milled around, and, much to his dismay, several large hounds whined and strained at the ends of leashes. The horses, the stallion could sense, buzzed with excitement, some prancing in place, others, tugging at reins.
To his left, causing the stallion to spook some, a phone rang, the man answering with a strong hello. Mounting his own horse, the man called out to all of the other riders.
“The scent has been set! Let the hounds go!”
With loud barks and yowls, the dogs charged ahead, and, with whoops and hollers, the riders urged their horses on. Heels nudged at his own sides and he moved on, taking a nervous trot as others galloped past.
“Come on, boy.” His owner urged, and with one ear pinned to her, he allowed himself to be pushed to a gallop. Worries melted into enjoyment as around twenty horses melted into one form, each one moving in synchronization with the other. Before long, jumps and obstacles began to appear before them, but, as though they were merely nothing, each horse slipped over with ease. The run lasted no longer than thirty minutes, but by the end, horses and owners alike were sweating, the thrill of the chase filling their veins. As they slowed, the hounds focused themselves upon a man, holding a bag high over his head to keep it from them. Curious, Cuckoo drew in a breath, wrinkling his nostrils at the sharp scent emanating from the bag. Huh, that must be what the dogs were following... So nothing was hurt? Raising his head sharply, realizing that nothing would be harmed from these outings, the stallion found his heart bounding with excitement. This was what his human had talked about?! This was the best!

Jaha's favorite memory at Elysian Eventing was when he met all the other horses in the stables.

His first day at our facilities, I walked him around to each stable, introducing him to all of our other horses from all different species.
He was a little overwhelmed, but soon learned how happy everyone was! He became quick friends with one of our Khimaira Friesians Kaia.

Ever since, the two have been inseparable. While they are in two different pastures, the two are constantly at the fence between the two pastures, nuzzling one another. When one is inside, either in a lesson, or just in their stall, the other will call nonstop!
We always have to give in and send the other one out to pasture!
