favorite place to be: Miles’ favorite place to be is (or at least, was, before the explosion of the planet) the bakery just down the street from his childhood home! Its name was Lover of Baguettes, which is definitely a cheesy name, but the owner claimed her granddaughter had named the place when it was first due to open. The owner was a nice little lady, with scarce wrinkles pulling her face tight and a kind smile. Whenever Miles would come trotting in, she seemed to notice how he was feeling right away every single time. If he was sad because he had been bullied at school, she provided him a pastry and a pat on the back and let him stay as long as he liked. If he was happy, she’d merrily ask about his day and shove all sorts of goodies at him, winking and promising that it was on the house.

Miles fondly remembers that little bakery. One day, he’d like to see it rebuilt. He hopes that little old lady survived the explosion...
