Shadow Flitz (Singular; Shadow Flit) are a long bodies species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able wispy appendages. these large, friendly beasts have been recently tamed to be ridden by humans and anthros alike. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. however have also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores- meaning they are only meant to eat meat and they often prey on birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

How do they protect the ocean?: (at least 100 words) Coral protects the ocean in many different ways. however, one of them is very special. a long time ago, she figured out how to channel her magic to help out the marine life. coral is able to make man-made materials dissipate in an instant. she has saved countless numbers of turtles, fish, and sharks (to name a few) from dying because of plastic. once she has saved a sea creature, she transfers some of her glowing magic by touching them. the magic travels to their soul, giving them an invisible force field that protects them from any harmful beings and objects for a short period of time. nice work, coral! Posey protects the ocean by cleaning up the litter they find. They meticulously form said litter into the bases for coral reefs to be built on by polyps, and prevent the litter from being ingested by fellow sea-dwellers. They also help by advocating to marines and aquariums around the world about the dangers of littering in the ocean, showing graphic images of the garbage floating in the seas and how sad the animals look when it gets caught on their fins. They advocate for cleanup missions and technologies, offering their assistance to those who want to develop new cleaning technologies that remove garbage from the waterways.
Posey hopes they can end the dangerous practice of littering in the world's oceans, protecting them and keeping them pristine for future generations.

How do they protect the ocean?: (at least 100 words) Lir protects the sea by cleaning up trash thrown into the water by ignorant people and creatures. He takes the time to clear out full sections of garbage and make sure the area is now clear of things that would make the ocean dwellers sick. He also talks with those he sees throwing said trash into the sea, making sure they understand why that's so harmful. When he's not doing this, he's conducting talks with factions of sea dwellers, helping them communicate their wants and needs to each other to prevent fights and even wars from breaking out. He channels a collective magical energy created by the love of sea dwellers for their home to keep the waters fresh and at the right salt levels, the source of where he channels the energy resides in his home, which makes it glow a bright sea-foam green. This energy also partially controls the storms that cover the skies above the ocean, fluctuating often and creating weather patterns not well understood by those outside of the knowledge of the energy that makes them. Lir cares for all his subjects, and would die for them if he felt that would be best for them.

How do they protect the ocean?: As an engineer, they have created little floating robots that drag nets below them, and when they're filled with trash, they float to the top. They have multiple nets in their little bodies, and once all their nets are full (they know with cute little sensor antenna) they find the nearest land and send a single to recycle places near them! These boys are solar-powered, equipped with tide predicting sonar and GPS, and at night they just float with the tide!

as a flit who is concerned about global warming, lucy has made it her mission to educate both herself and others about what we can do to save our environment. yes, she can mess up occasionally, like that time where she accidentally left her living room light on when she went on holiday for a week to go deep sea diving, but mostly she is good at being conscious of that stuff. having a natural affinity for the sea, she is focussing mostly on what can help the ocean. lucy has started up her own mini business, with reusable and sustainable products like cloth shopping bags and metal straws. sure, the prices might be a tad high, but all the items are good quality, made ethically and with sustainable materials. her plan is that the more products like hers are in circulation in the world, the less plastic will be disposed of and none of the animals or even their habitats will die. she will also organise beach cleanups, and recycles as much as she can.

lucy isn't a vegan, since she is a carnivore, but will tell other people about the good effects that cutting out meat, dairy, and fish has on the environment. although, don't worry, she knows she can't force you to listen to her go on about how so many fish are endangered because we catch them to eat, and accidentally can injure other sea-life in the process. however she does take steps to reduce her carbon footprint, literally. she walks everywhere she can, and otherwise will take public transport or car share.

she hopes that by doing all of this, other people and future generations will still have a chance to see the beauty of the world beneath the waves.
