Nanaki stared at the stalagmite of ice, her youthful eyes sparkling as she recalled the story she'd always heard, but never seen it herself. She was going to disprove the stories once and for all. Slowly, she blepped out her tongue and dragged it up the ice, only.. She found her tongue wasn't moving. She gave a gentle tug, her eyes widening as she realized the error she'd made. The rumors were true. She sat for a moment, trying to figure out how to get away, trying to ignore the creeping panic. Like lightning, an idea struck her and Nanaki slammed forward, using her face to bash the ice, breaking the upper half off, partially freeing her tongue. She gathered the now free icicle in her mouth as she began to head back, ready to show off once and for all that yes, ice steals tongues.
