Falconheart's favorite past time would have to be searching for bones. Any type of bone will do, be it big or small, old or fresh. Any condition and from any species of animal. What does she do with these bones you ask? She uses them in rituals that is meant to summon the demon Volgamith, although she has not been successful in doing that so far.

Ever since she was a kit, living with her father and brother as a rogue, she found a passion for the dark side to clan lore in general. Especially for the concept of cat hell. To the young cat, the darkness soothed her in a way. It had a sense of mystery that not many cats were willing to explore because it was dark and not much was known about it. All of the reasons that drew other cats away were the reasons for it drawing her in and filling a fascination.

What started off as a simple curiosity as a child turned into more like a hobby that bordered along an obsession; she began hearing rumors from other rogues and random clan cats they passed about a way to contact the Underworld. At the age of 4 moons, young Falcon decided to try her first ritual by collecting a few bones. They had to be small when they travelled and the kit never got too many collected at a time- the most she had before joining Glacial Blizzard Clan was five fish bones.

Although collecting bones for rituals seems like an odd and dark past time, it has been the one Falconheart holds nearest to her and has all of her life.

Silent's favorite past time is to race hawks that fly above the open plains. Whenever she sees a hawk swoop from the forest or a perch into open skies she starts running below it, trying to imagine being a hawk in the sky and having the wind ruffle through her feathers. She imagines it would be similar to how the wind does with her fur as she's running with them. Half the time it seems as if the hawks themselves accept her challenge and try and speed up. Silent has grown fond of running as it calms down any nerves she has and it's just great fun!

Dreaming, daydreaming. Wolfmist can't imagine why anyone would spend their free-time doing anything else, and almost always is found with his head in the clouds. When asked what he's thinking, he usually says "The same old things," with a kind smile, even if he'd never given them the answer of what the 'things' were. Most of the time, he's imagining running through the stars with the she-cat he had a fling with in his young loner days, how his life would turn out if he hadn't broken it off. Though others know little, or nothing about such things, it's clear this pass-time does give him too much time to dwell in his regrets. None the less, he finds it soothing to imagine a better life.

In the evening time, Lochwish adores spending time with the kits and young apprentices. These are the cats in Floodclan who generally have far too much time on their paws. With prey regularly in abundance, their only job is to learn and observe, and learning and observing gets boring pretty quickly to young minds. This is why he enjoys their presence the most in the evening; sometimes it seems as if these children have far too much energy than they should during the day. Catching them in the evening means less time spent corralling them to listen to his stories, and energizes them for the next day.

For an old tomcat like him, seeing how the youngest in the clan hang on to his (sometimes heavily exaggerated) words never fails to bring a smile to his face. Storytime gets even better when his brother, Ghostmire, decides to grace their get-togethers with his presence. The two's combined voices spin outlandish tales to the children of the clan, and it's become an inside joke between him and his brother to try and wring out the most exasperated reaction out of the children. "Ghostmire and Lochwish, cats can't breath underwater!"

Ah, but that's what they think. Then, why do humans call some fish catfish?

Besides... it'd be remiss of Lochwish (and Ghostmire, whenever he storytells with him) to not share his stories and past adventures (with a bit of glossing here or there). Lochwish and his brother come from a long line of storytellers. Oral traditions and stories are practically their lifeblood. With no children to call his own (unlike his brother Ghostmire and his daughter), Lochwish is comforted to know that his words will still live on in the heart of Floodclan.

And well... in this small way, Floodclan's children are his.

Antstripe loves to swim in the lake, especially when it's hot out! No other cats in her clan will get in the water, but she doesn't mind the solitude. It's serene and quiet on the shoreline, and she loves to get away from the busy, loud camp. Her long fur makes it difficult to cool down during the summer and the water feels better than anything else.

When she was a brand new apprentice, her mentor brought her to the lake during the tour of the territory. Antstripe was so excited that she tripped over her own paws and fell into the lake. After a few moments of absolute panic, she realized that the feeling was actually really nice and vowed to return whenever she could. [126/300]

Prompt: Despite being retired due to injuries, Grizzlestripe thinks he’s still a fit warrior with a lot to teach the youngsters of the Clan. When he’s not fed up of kits thinking his fuzzy tail and grumpy face are perfect stalking targets, Grizzlestripe will try to teach the kits a bit of “proper skill”. It starts with him lining them up neatly, or as neatly as one can herd a bunch of curious kits, and then having them copy his stances.

“Crouch low, so your belly is tickled by the grass beneath it… Don’t stick your rump out so far, you fuzzball, that’s how a squirrel sees you coming from an age away!”

Of course, it’s no surprise to anyone else when the kits decide to lose the seriousness and start to have fun with their impromptu lesson. Grizzlestripe will groan at the inaccuracy – ever a stickler for perfect posture – and will initially try to corral them back into order. When he sees that he’s lost control of the kits, he rolls his eyes, huffs out a large breath and flops to the floor with a small grumble. They aren’t apprentices, and he’s not their mentor, after all.

However, when there’s the odd few kits who do genuinely want to learn, or even a struggling apprentice, Grizzlestripe’s heart silently soars. He feels pride in teaching the future of the clan, and even when he’s strict, he can’t help but have a small, crooked smile on his frowning face. It makes him feel less useless, too, something he’s quietly felt since being forced to retire early. Mentoring helps him feel young and strong again, and makes him somewhat softer than the grumpy nature he always seems to have.
