Stormchaser gazed at the swirling pink in the sky. The colours of the rising sun danced in a parade of light and beauty. He followed along, laughing joyously, mimicking the movements of the pink sky as it glides. He dances with all his heart to the pink, professing his love. ‘For Roseshade,’ he says to nobody but himself as he thought about his lost love.

As the pink mingles with the other colours, he is reminded of the adoration that Roseshade had for other cats, living each day with love. ‘I dance for you,’ Stormchaser says as the pink fades.

But as she pressed against him, he felt a warmth well up inside him. A swirling rainbow of grey and blue. Life, light, happiness.
