His parents noticed this, and named him after the freedom and independence of the wind. His leader originally gave him the name of Breezecrow, a name intended to punish him for being too independent in a strictly-ruled Clan. When he left BloomClan behind for PetalClan, he asked to be renamed. Sorrelstar chose the name Breezespirit in honor of his strong-willed and spirited personality, as well as his sense of independence.

He shouldn't have suggested they go hunting alone that day. He should've stayed alert for predators and defended himself instead of putting their mother in danger.

If it weren't for him, she would still be alive.

He remembered the creek they lived by and played in in the happy days of their childhood. He missed it dearly, and wanted to forever carry it with his name.

Nightwater received his prefix since the night he was born was particularly dark, literally and metaphorically. He and his littermate, Cypresswhisker, had lost their mother that night. Their father named him Night after the dark sky, which he swore stole his mate, but blessed him with two sons. He got his prefix -water, since his personality had always appeared to be cool and calm like a pool of water, even in the most stressful of times. He also got this prefix because like the water, he reflected himself. He is genuine in his actions and his words.

Chirp's mother made a nest under a huge tree that was a hangout for local songbirds. As a young cat Chirp learned to mimic those birds' calls (though he cannot make a full song) and soon realized that it was incredibly beneficial to him as a hunter. Since this behavior became such a large part of his identity, it seemed clear that his name should be Chirp. He is also quiet on his feet and savage in battle, and he has never let his somewhat silly name hold him back.
