Summer is when the rain rolls in over the mountains and summer is when the air is so dry and the sun so intense it would melt you
But the nights are warm and the sunsets are deep and spread and leak into the stars
Summer is sandels and short sleeved shirts and
Coming indoors to find the air conditioned interior as fresh and sharp as ice water
Summer is thin sheets and sweet drinks and camp
Summer is crazy scheduels and deep sleep after long days
Summer is blazing yellow sun and cloudless skies that drip into the horizon
Summer is what I wait for all year and relish in

Prompt; My favorite season is the middle of winter. There's enough snow on the ground for sports to become available. I snowboard and love when there is fresh powder on the ground to slide on top of. I also enjoy wet snow that makes it easy to make snowballs and snow forts where you can spend hours of your day and not realize it. The large fluffy flakes coming down gently and landing gracefully on structures. Or the raging blizzards that make even the hardiest animals retreat.
