You place your duck in the water and some ducklings swim out to greet it excitedly! - Marcy (10 RD) - flamingember (duck clips) - Lieutenant sparks (12 RD)
________________________________________________________________ oh? this isn't a duckling... it still looks really happy to have a friend though, so it's a win in my books! - CowsgoHehe (duck wings!) - Kouhai (20 RD!)
the pond had been quiet the past few days. the ducklings still swim out to greet toys, true, but there's no minipop here to gush over them or hand out the prizes - everything is unusually quiet without their continuous chatter.
at first you think you just missed them. then maybe that they're sick. then that they forgot about the pond, or maybe some park rangers told them to back off the ducklings. whatever it is you decide it's time to stop muddying your paws on the long track down. over the next few days the banner vanishes, thrown to the floor by rainfall. you see the ducklings one day, waddling with their mothers across the fairground one late evening to head to the river on the other side. it really looks like the duck stall is closed after all.
and then suddenly, finally, there's life. crooked signs are readjusted - you overhear some other stall runners chattering quietly about the poor camellia, how they shouldn't be working in this state, and so you head down to find out whats happening. the little pop is sitting in the mud and sobbing when you find them. it's hard not to be alarmed, reaching down to scoop them up, something which startles them even though they calm quickly enough to just start sniffling again. it takes a little while to figure out the problem but when they start there's no stopping.
"oh- it's awful, just awful. the rain got so heavy a few nights ago and we only live in small houses you see, and- and everything i had was washed away. i've spent days trying to find somewhere new and to try and salvage all my furniture, but it's gone, all of it." they starts sniffling again, and you decide right then that you just have to help.
pops! your job over the next two days is to find kore some new furniture for her new house! the only rule is that it must feature ducks or some duck-like aspect, whether it be an entire duck chair or just duck-patterned curtains!
day fifteen is up! this will end 48 hours from now, to give kore time to build her new house.
