This cat ended up very different from where it began - there's a lot of layers in there, after trying something slightly different.
I made this one while listening to a few songs that focus on an internal battle or hiding something.

The others always back away from him, gave him a wide berth, and hardly stayed long enough to hear the deep rumble of his voice.

It wasn't as if he could help it. He didn't ask to be who he was, and he never wanted others to be afraid of him.

The mistake. That was the start of all Redthunder's problems; the start of the others' fear. The fear became so tangible that the tom began to fear himself. Perhaps he could have led a normal life if he had not been in the wrong place at the wrong time, but luck had never been on the tom's side. But everything had changed, and Redthunder had to live with himself now, and live with the fear following him everywhere. He couldn't even make himself start a new life, to leave, because he wasn't sure where he would go.

He wanted to be able to prove to these cats, and to himself, that he wasn't someone to be feared. He wanted to be able to make a friend, to show them who he really was, beyond the whispers of unease that followed him and defeated his spirit. Redthunder was sure that one day he would be able to beat the demons that were both inside and outside, letting the true shimmer of his being reflect upon his actions. He would be bold, he would defeat his own self-doubt, and he would be free.

Sifting through darkness with peace of mind,
Thoughts lost to the slow passage of time,
She calls upon one whose love is blind.

For in that moment their souls aligned.
Stolen meetings to the night owls chime
The lives they left, left far behind.

This one soul could never evil find,
Could see no scars and see no crime,
Despite the war, her love was blind.

She could not see that one maligned,
The misdeeds of many untold lifetimes,
She could not see how all evil shined.

The secrets kept out of sight and mind,
maybe one day she'd tell her, find the time,
to trust the one whose love is blind.

Robinleap was a very sweet and loving tom when he was a kit, but after his parents argued in front of him, blamed him for their arguments and problems, and split up, leaving him with the cat he grew up with, his older brother. After this, he became incredibly emotional and depressed, detaching himself from others and becoming incredibly dependent on his brother, Claw. However, once his brother fell in love with a she-cat and left Robin on his own, they split up and Robin became detached from everyone, scared to love, and very lonely.

The red colored tom decided he didn't want to be isolated anymore, however, he also didn't want to be incredibly attached. After finding CreekClan, he joined the clan but set himself apart from his clanmates, deciding it would be better that way if someone died or he decided to leave. He is now a very strong and determined warrior of CreekClan, needing to depend on only himself, but he also gets incredibly lonely at times.

I was gonna make it a very short journal but couldn't figure out how a cat would keep a journal so I hope a verbal story is alright ((:
based loosely off the song "the hero, the saint, the tyrant, & the terrorist"

xx"come, sit down little one, and let me tell you a story.
xxdid the others tell you not to come too close? of course they did. it's alright. really. i've been told i'm evil. but i'm your deputy. my job is to keep you safe. and besides that, i haven't used my claws on another clan cat since i was younger than you.
xxi was born to two very loving parents. you of course know them as addersong and siltwing. they never seemed to be around when i was growing up, and instead I was raised by another queen in the clan. coldstar's mother. he and i were like brothers.
xxthen, just a few days before my apprentice ceremony, our leader and deputy were killed, and our medicine cat was critically wounded. you know the story. this was all due to my parents, who believed they were the rightful leaders of snowclan. they never got to see me grow up, as they were killed in a bloody battle that night.
xxi never fully understood what was happening. all i understood was one day, i was popular in the nursery, and the next, no one would even look my direction except coldstar himself. coldstar and i stayed close, of course, but being outcasted followed me into my apprenticeship, and even now i still get awful stares and harsh whispers. my own mentor didn't want me, and it took me little time to find out why i was so hated in the clan.
xxonce i figured out what my parents did, i couldn't help but shame and hate myself, as the clan did. i had done nothing, yet their treachery was my fault. i was often torn to shreds during training, as i never once used my claws while my opponents did. had coldstar not been there, i would have been alone. for the longest time, i believed what my parents had done what they did because of me.
xxare you falling asleep, little one? of course you are. i'm just like an elder, with my stories of kit hood. you should run back to your mother, it is close to nightfall and you should soon sleep. run along! if you wish for another story, come look for me. i have plenty."
xxhe watched them scamper off into the nursery, joining their brothers and sisters - and their mother, who had her ears back warningly and eyes locked on his. he lowered his head submissively, stepping even further out of hearing range.
xx"i told you i still get awful stares, even now, as your deputy. i've been told so often i'm evil. and i admit now that i still believe it was my fault. maybe one day i'll convince them otherwise."
