an ominous orb sits on a ritual-like table in a dark room. the table seems to really be an extension of the floor, but you've never seen such a thing before.
the orb emits a faint purple glow, which grows brighter as you slowly walk towards it. you shield your eyes, now in front of the odd object. you reach out your hand, jumping slightly as it comes into contact with the cold surface of the 'table'. your fingers wander, and you find it's mostly smooth. until you feel some sort of carvings, as if somebody etched words or symbols into it.
after many useless seconds blinking and squinting in an attempt to make out what it says, if it's even english, you move your hand to hover over the orb, finding the area around it chilling. the aura in the room turns dark as you cautiously set your hand on it, a jolt of energy flowing through you. your ears ring faintly, and you take a moment to enjoy the newfound feeling in you. power. the kind that gives you goosebumps. whatever this orb was, or contained, was dark. too dark.
your eyes widen. if this orb was in a room with titanium doors and walls, what was it trying to keep inside? you feel a presence behind you, making you whip around. the previous feeling of power and energy is replaced with dread and horror, at the sight in front of you. you stare into the eyes of death. the eyes of death stare into you.
then, seemingly out of nowhere, the owner of these eyes speaks.
