with a name meaning “boat” in haitian creole, the fact that bato’s favorite crayon is ocean themed isn’t surprising.
part of the “pearl brite” set, bato fell in love with the soft pearlescent sheen of the blue crayon. since they’re no longer made, he spends his free time around yard sales and such to get his hands on more crayons! truly, bato loves the whole set but aqua pearl is by far his favorite. so until he gets more, bato refuses to use more of his beloved crayon.
