'draught of daemons' is a powerful potion mostly used for storytelling purposes, as the affect it has on the consumer involves mild hallucinations if diluted and in small doses. it's main purpose in the mainstream is to enhance movies, plays, records, concerts, weddings, ect. when diluted incorrectly (i.e. with standard lake water), the consequences can be dangerous. in the best case scenario, the poisoned will be unconscious for numerous hours, likely ranging from three to five, and will have hallucinations that could affect them in a bad way. usually, the night hallucinations are mild- most recover. on the other end of the spectrum, however, is the horrid nightmares some drinkers endure. they can be extremely graphic or terrible, or make the drinker feel horrible about themselves (for example, a depressed person would be shown everything they'd done wrong and how they let everybody down, and a trans person would be overcome with dysphoric thoughts and such.)- and bear in mind these hallucinations could last several hours.
what does ginge use these for, though? see, ginge is a very creative soul and has a knack for the art of storytelling and creates and destroys world in his mind constantly. one way he remembers certain ones he liked the most is to make a draught of daemons for them- of course, he would have to bend the recipe a little bit, and this act has gone haywire on many occasions. but, when it doesn't, he'll keep it in a little glass beaker with a cork through it, label it with his neat-ish handwriting as follows: 'draught of daemons #xxx ' and cap it off with whatever name he though of for that world, then place it gently on his tallest shelf with the rest of his worlds, then head off to bed.

i do all kinds of stupid and silly stuff
