Username: wolfpack12
Cat Name: Jax, Lynxstorm
Clan: CrescentclanRank: warrior
Gender: tom
Age: 37 moons
Song: Three days grace - Get out alivePrompt:Paw pads slipped over cobblestones, as the long haired tom ducked underneath a wooden cart. Barely managing to hide in time as four cats ran past him. Copper coloured eyes watched fearfully, as one of his pursuers came to a sudden stop. His heart beating rapidly within his burning chest as he dared not move. Watching nervously as his pursuer slowly moved closer to where he was hiding. As if there were an invisible arrow pointing in his direction. Jax could only hope that the current downpour, would prevent the other cat from picking up his scent.
Just when the tom felt like he was about to be spotted, his pursuer suddenly stopped once more. Amber eyes no longer fixed in his direction, but were now staring at something that he couldn't see. Within the blink of an eye, his pursuer was gone. Their darkened silhoutte fading into a curtain of rain, chasing after whatever it was that they had spotted.
" That was far too close"
Jax nearly jumped out of his skin, as he quickly spun around to face the newcomer. His body shivering from both the rain and the fear of nearly being caught. Only to then release a shaky sigh of relief. Sitting before him, was none other than his brother, Len. Who was currently soaked to the bone, and bleeding. Wait,
bleeding?!" Your injured!", Jax hissed. The carts shadow made it difficult to see his brother clearly. But what he did manage to make of his sibling did very little to reassure him. A line of blood ran down his brother's left shoulder. While his right ear had been torn to shreds.
" I'm
fine, it's not like we're running for our lives or anything", Len replied sarcastically. Dipping down to lick at his wounded shoulder, only to suddenly snap his head back up. Orange coloured eyes glowing fiercely." And we're not out of the woods just yet", he added.
Jax followed his brother's gaze. His entire body froze, as his eyes found the source of his brother's uneasiness. Not too far away, a small group of cats were rapidly moving towards them. Their shadowy forms paying no mind to the rain that was currently soaking their bodies." What do we do?!", he whispered. Noticing that some were limping, which probably meant that they were the ones who had attacked his brother. But that did little to dull his fears.
" I'll tell you what
we're going to do, your going to run, while I hold them off", Len replied. Limping forwards, so that he now stood shoulder to shoulder with his brother. The darker coloured tabby merely smirked, upon noticing his sibling was about to protest against him." There isn't much time for arguing, brother, nor time for goodbyes, only one of us will get out of this alive, you know
that, besides you won't stand a chance against them", he added.
Jax hesitated, as he stared helplessly at his brother. His front paws shifted nervously, as he once more glanced at their pursuers. Until a sharp nudge brought him back to reality.
" Go brother!
Run for your life!"
Jax didn't need to be told twice. Without thinking the tom ran, tears running down his cheeks. Glancing over his shoulder, he could only watch as his brother faded from view. Before forcing himself to look ahead. Hoping beyond hope that he will make it to the forest beyond his town. That his brother's sacrifice wouldn't be in vain.
He hoped that he would make it to the other
side.
