When the summer hot first begins to taper off, and the walk home isn't quite as stifling, a sound threads its way through the air with a sigh of relief. The long, slow moan of a train whistle in the distance signals the end of the sweltering, muggy months, and brings with it all the relaxed happiness of fall.

As a kid, he wondered if trains only ran in the fall, because the sound of them never reached him while the cicadas sang. He knows now it's some sciency business with sound waves and temperature, but that doesn't mute the way it sends a shiver of good feeling up his chest when he first hears it.

It brings memories of cider and wassailing, bonfires and laughter, pumpkin picking and board games late into the crisp evenings. It brings back the comfort of feeling secure in the warmth of his lover's arms while outside the raging world wept into a blanket of browned leaves. It brings a certain measure of quiet peace to his disordered mind.

When a cool breeze ruffles through his scruffy hair and the soft suggestion of a train whistle rides along, the long sigh of relief is his.

Aspen runs a Tumblr blog called Autunmous-Disaster. The URL itself is a mash between autonomous and autumn.
His Tumblr blog is themed around the aesthetic of fall which he can find pictures and gifs to get him through the year and make his weakly mood boards yet, when fall rolls around he's out and about with his camera stockpiling photos for the coming year. His blog has gained a decent following, allowing Aspen to continue capturing the beauty of fall. Photography has been his passion for the longest time, actively participating in the photography club at his school, gaining praise due to the fact he knows how to perfectly capture the calm, relaxing beauty of fall.
Fall has always calmed Aspen, allowing him to escape from the world for a brief moment and get lost in the beauty and magic of fall. Sure, when someone asks what your favourite season is one of the more basic answers is fall but when Aspen explains it, most people are moved and were happy to listen to why something brings him so much joy.
"it's the calm stillness of it all, I could sit in a field and watch the leaves fall for hours and be calm, it's my therapy. It brings me so much joy to capture the unique landscapes and trees. Plus, it makes a great background when taking pictures of you or your friends. It makes me happy, it brings much-needed joy in times like these when all we hear about is the bad. I love fall. It was a cool Fall morning and Lindsay had just woken up. She was preparing herself some breakfast consisting of bacon, waffles, eggs, toast, and orange juice. She finished cooking and placed the food on a tray and went outside. Lindsay sat down on her chair and set the tray in in front of her on a small table. She looked around her and smiled. Oh how she loved Fall! The colors, the sweater weather, and of course she loved to jump in piles of leaves! She also knew it meant lots of pumpkin flavored things and Halloween! Oh Halloween to Lindsay was a grand time! She loved to hand out candy to the little Kalons and enjoy their costumes! She finished her breakfast and decided that after she cleaned her plate and put away the tray she would go to buy Halloween candy and get a pumpkin spice latte!

farm-life can be a lot of fun, especially when autumn rolls around. everyone has a special tradition in their homes, and one of the more common ones are carving pumpkins. daphne's family has always grown pumpkins, and they're famous for the biggest pumpkins locally. as a kid, she loved running around the pumpkin patch and helping other little kids pick out huge ones. now she watches the children and reminisces in the memories of wanting the biggest pumpkin in the patch. sometimes a kalon her age or an old classmate will show up with their youngsters and catch up.

apart from assisting people harvest the perfect pumpkin, daphne loves to make pumpkin pie and eat pumpkin seeds. the aroma of the dessert is irresistible, and she enjoys the crunchy texture of the seeds. there's been times where she's cooked a ton of pies for a pie-eating contest to attract customers and fund-raise for the farm.
