What booth attracts your character the most?: Quala has always been a Claw Machine fanatic. Something about the skill and precision it takes to grab something always intrigued her. This year, during the first day, Quala went straight for it. Standing in front of the raggedy booth with the old game inside, she turned to Basil, eyes wide. She held out an arm-full of tickets. "Sorry," Basil said, shaking her head. "One turn a day. This old thing... Might break down if we're not careful." Quala slumped. She held out a single ticket, and placed her hooves on the arrows. Slow the claw slid around... Until it was right over the perfect prize... And she slammed the red arrow right as the timer ran out! The claw dropped, clamped down, and... Brought up nothing. Quala was dumbfounded. She thought she had the perfect strategy! "Please Basil, please! Just one more try!" Basil shook her head. "Sorry Quala, that's the rules." Basil turned and saw an old friend, and trotted over for a chat. Just then, Reese snuck over, and whispered "Hey Quala, I'll let you play again for another ticket!" Quala squealed softly. She shoved her armful of tickets into Reese's arms, and began playing again. It took Basil 45 minutes to notice that no one else but Quala had been playing, and she marched over to put a stop to it. "Alright, you had your fun, now scat and let someone else play!"

Day 4 Daily Prompt!Username: vintage rose
Does your character try to stay away from greasy fair foods, or run towards them?: Nora has never been one to go for any sort of greasy, non healthy food. She tries to stick to mainly fruits and vegetables. But when the carnival comes to town, she has never been able to help herself when a warm plate of funnel cake comes her way. The greasy, hot batter covered in melting powdered sugar makes the hair on the back of her neck stand up just to think about it. All of her healthy ways are chucked out the window every year when she goes to the carnival. During the span of the one week when the carnival is in town, Nora could easily eat at least one funnel cake a day, if not two when they're there all day. It's her biggest weakness. In her eyes, though, it's like a reward. You know, for all the healthy stuff she's always so religiously eating. She figures that it kind of balances out... Eventually. In her defense, it was a tradition she had with her mom, so it seems only fair to let her have this one day (or week, usually) to eat her favorite fair food. It's a new tradition, now, for all of the Buttermilks from Wolf's Peak to get together on the last night of the fair, get their favorite foods, and all sit together and eat and share the great memories they made that year.
