Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.
Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off, which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

For extra's: I prefer no extra writing but I don't mind if you decide to draw like an extra outfit and stuff!

As for how you want to display the kalon's outfits/accessories/items, I would like to see the stuff on the kalon ref though if you feel like you need to you can draw their stuff off the ref on your own art of them!

taupe jacket
Alaine’s jacket doubles as a nest for her domesticated crow that she took in as a child. When she was young, her parents would send her out in the oversized jacket to play “scarecrow” and scare away pests in the corn field of her childhood farm. Al found crow stranded in the field with a broken wing. She would carry crow in the hood of her jacket, and crow would only touch her if she wore the garment. As she didn’t grow out of the taupe jacket, she’s kept it ever since and has sealed it’s blemishes with various patches and decals.

jeans + socks
Al is always cold, she’d dress in jeans and socks to both keep her feet and legs warm, but also to conceal them from long grass and other obstacles. Al hates tall grass and things that tickle or scratch her legs. This habit again is from her childhood when she’d dress in long pants to keep her legs sheltered from wheatgrass, corn stalks and splattered mud.

Al has terrible eyesight. She spent a lot of time having staring competitions with the sun out of boredom when she was younger

Al always keeps candies in her pockets. She likes chewing on something to help her stay focused rather than fidgeting with stuff in her hands.

A weird little collectible that her roomate marley gave her. She wears it on spexial occasions or times that she needs good luck.

aquarius for her sun sign, pride flag for her lesbian identity, a jack-o-lantern because she loves hallowen + autumn, stars because she’s spaced out.

Why these items?:
Ashira has devoted her life to the demi-god of light. As a young kit she was saved by the deity from freezing to death, and in return promised to spread the word of the light goddess to others. Though she has not since seen the demi-god, her faith remains completely in tact, and she considers the central temple her home. As a sage of the light temple she wears the mark of the goddess, primarily dresses in lighter clothing, and spends hours of every day praying to the altar in the center of the temple, both at sunrise and at sunset. She also practices healing magic and aids the other sages with organizing festivals and maintaining the temple grounds.
