I wish I can compliment everyone I know so far in this community, but the first person that came to mind is neondisaster! Thank you for being one of the first to welcome me when I joined the fanclub and (therefore the community) on August 13th. I was stoked to see such a friendly welcome, honestly. You were so patient with me when I asked you a few questions! c: You're a great moderator, and your explanations are really clear and thorough. I didn't expect a detailed explanation when I asked you about what off-base Kalons are, haha. I look forward to encountering you again in this community!

Cassian is an American-born Japanese kalon. Growing up in downtown Santa Monica meant that Cassian had grown up with ocean sunsets, pier landmarks, some of the best people, but also some of the worst. He made quite a few childhood friends, but also unknowingly made a couple enemies. People in his neighbourhood wanted to know him. He was known to have a charismatic and compassionate personality, as well as a tendency to always look out for others. Other kids down his street, however, thought his personality was a ruse and he was just “stuck up” all the time. Throughout his childhood, he received more than a few spiteful remarks behind his back, whether it was about where he’s “actually” from, what he wore, or which gender he liked. Cassian wasn’t bothered by any of the uncalled for mockery, however. His grandfather Reo Takagi (高木 怜和) had taught him to treat things in a calm and collected manner, and to solve problems logically instead of acting on impulse.

After moving to San Diego for college and graduating there, Cassian now stays in the fine city of motion until he finds a job he wants to dedicate his life to. As for now, he is a barista trainee working in a coffee shop a few streets from the city’s famous Little Italy, surrounded by the smell of roasted coffee beans daily. His boss has confidence in him; she believes he is suited to become a barista, considering how organized he is, and how he is able to work well even under pressure from customer traffic. Personally, coffee’s not his favorite, though— Cassian doesn’t get tired easily and doesn’t feel the need to stay up late; instead, he often finds himself curling up with a cup of tea in afternoon hours. Soothing like tea, he will always ease your mind when you’re feeling down.

Cassian is calm, yes, but doesn’t come across as cold. He’s really friendly and nonjudgmental, and is willing to talk to anyone. He loves his friends and coworkers very much, and would definitely take a bullet for them… sometimes maybe too willingly. He will do anything for anyone, really, regardless if he will receive anything back. This made him especially oblivious to the dangers of other people, however.

At the moment, he’s trying his best to cure his boyfriend (who frequents the coffee shop) of his caffeine addiction. Cassian’s patience is proven ineffective, though. In fact, it’s probably counterproductive considering how he cares a lot, but is too enabling and still lets his boyfriend get away with drinking too much coffee. Cassian is aware of that, and is trying not to be so soft hearted as to hurt himself and the people he love. He has the best intentions, after all!
