Poseidon also swims competitively in his free time, and has even placed in quite a few of the events. Mostly though he does this to raise money to save up for his future dreams.
Every now and then, Poseidon even daydreams that he's an Olympian competing at the Olympic games, even though as of right now he has no intention of ever trying to enter.

Racing. He is competitive by nature and the struggle of throwing his entire body into a headlong dash, seeing the other racers on the edges of his vision, the sheer rush of adrenaline pumping through his veins, fulfills his innate need to prove himself. Winning is only half the glory, but the rawness of having the dust beneath his feet, the wind ripping through his mane, and fire beating in his lungs, makes him feel alive

River doesn't consider himself to be the athletic type. He never has been good with sporty acctivities.
But that doesn't mean he didn't try his best. Finally, he came to the last activity on the list.
Rollerblading, he hoped this was it. The one that he could do. Slowly he moved into the rink.
He felt strangely calm and at ease. Though it was hard at first. It got easier over time.
Soon he began to enjoy it. Above all else, he enjoyed this sport the most.
Because he felt comfortable and enjoyed rollerblading.
