"The one time I got on the wrong train"
Gemini was never good with directions, in fact she was terrible with them. If she was set off to do a task by herself you can bet that somewhere along the way or on the way back..she would get lost.
So when her family was busy doing tasks of their own, and asked her to go into the city to run a few errands...well I'm sure you can guess what happened.
Gemini Waited around in the small underground area for her train, her bag pressed up against her side.
"Southbound train will be arriving shortly" was heard loudly over the speakers, and her ears perked up.
"Southbound train...thats...my train?...I think?" she began to fidget, completely unsure. Looking around quickly she spotted a lone Kalon sitting on their phone and quickly approached them.
""Excuse me..."
The Kalon looked up for a split second before looking back down at their phone and then putting it away.
"Well, how may I help you?"
Gemini quickly pulled out a small map, and pointed to an area on it.
"I'm terrible with directions, can you tell me which stop is to get..here?"
The other Kalon smirked and looked up at her, deciding to mess with her a bit.
"That's where I'm going, just follow me, yeah?"
She sighed a sigh of relief and nodded, putting away the map.
"Oh good, good...Thank you. Don't wanna get lost..ha..." she laughed softly before turning back towards the oncoming train and rocking back and forth on her heels.
The two kalons rode the train together, Gemini having no clue that she was on the wrong train until they called the last stop and she realized it was't hers. She grew slightly panicked, as she hopped off, seeing the kalon that gave her the wrong instructions hop off through the other set of doors, and begin walking away.
"Hey!....Hey, what gives?!" She quickly caught up, tapping on the other kalons shoulder.
He turned around, gave her a very convincing puzzled look then continued to walk away, leaving her frustrated.
"I'm talking to you! Do you get joy in messing with other people?" She questioned, pulling her bag closer and speeding up to be behind him.
"Because now thanks to you, I'm ..."
She was taken aback when he suddenly turned around and poked her on the forehead, a blank look on his face.
"Quit following me, weirdo" and spun around, hopping over the turnstables without using his train card.
Gemini pulled her card out quickly and scanned it before going thru, glancing up at the board above them with the times trains would be arriving and leaving. She sighed, she had about an hour before the train would arrive again that would take her back.
The kalon she was following grinned to himself and spoke loudly "Looks like you have an hour to waste, sorry I must not be as good with directions as I thought" She huffed, not believing that one bit as she followed him up the steps. The nerve of this person, taking advantage of someone who had no idea where they were going. What was she gonna do for an hour why she waited?
Gemini ended up just sitting up top the stairs leading down to the trains, watching the streets and looking at all the various buildings and their billboards. 20 minutes must have passed and she was getting antsy just sitting there so she decided to walk around a bit nearby and look at all the shops and stuff that lined the streets. She was glancing into a jewelry store before she heard a voice coming from round the side of the building into the small alleyway where they leave the trash.
"Ow ! ...Da..." someone hissed from behind, causing her to grow curious. She moved behind the side of the building, squeezing passed the cans and ending up in some dark small area surrounded by low wire fences.
There she saw the same kalon that tricked her earlier, holding what appeared to be a paint can. There was a tiny bit of color on the wall in front of him but he seemed to be having trouble with the can itself.
He glanced up for a split second, irritated as he turned his attentions back to the paint can, again trying to twist the top around...or something.
"I thought I told you not to follow me" he grunted, still messing with it trying to get the darned thing to spray.
"What are you doing?" she asked, looking at the wall then to him. Great, a criminal, she immediately thought. She should probably go before she gets spotted with him doing something like this.
"What does it look like im doing?" he finally gave up with that color and put the can down on the ground by the wall and pulled out another one, opening it and giving it a shake.
"Well.... It looks like you are in a fight with a paint can..." she said , glancing behind her afterwards being paranoid that someone would be there watching , "You know this is illegal right? You could get in trouble...why would you risk that? I mean If I could find you anyo..." She was stopped when she felt a bit of wet hit her arm, looking down she saw blue paint all over her and her bag. She gasped and yelled at him, wondering why he would do something like that to her.
He was marking the wall with some sort of symbol, clearly ignoring her fuming over how he just ruined her bag. She yelled at him that he owed her a new one because the color was never going to come out. He quickly covered her mouth, explaining to her that if she wasn't quiet they would both be caught. And theres no way they'd believe her innocent with the green paint all over her. She decided it best to sit there in silence then until he was finished, dozing off slightly and wondering how much time had passed...she didn't miss the train did she? She was snapped out of her daze when she was suddenly grabbed and shoved towards the fence.
"Climb, c'mon go !, didn't you hear me?" he pushed passed her and climbed over, turning into a separate alley. She heard shouting behind her and someone pushing up against the cans almost knocking them over, causing her to react and begin climbing the fence....What did she just get herself into. She turned a random corner, and moved back out into the busy street only to be pulled back once again.
"Are you crazy? you can't go out there they will see you" he pulled her along with him, as they weaved in and out of the back alleys, and over one last fence that brought them to a busy street parallel to the train station.
"I didn't do anything though" she argued, trying to pull away.
He looked down at her bag and pulled her along once more.
"You try telling them that, Blue" She huffed and followed him as he led her down the steps to the train station, jumping back over the card machines.
They arrived just in time for her to make the train, and he quickly shoved her into it, watching the doors close in front of him as soon as he did. She turned and watched him wave before he headed back up the steps, she sighed and fell back in her seat...wondering how she was gonna explain why she was late to her family. Getting off at the stop where she started she saw her mother waiting for her, looking worried. Turns out she had arrived shortly after the wrong train departed and when she couldn't find her she got worried and decided to wait for her...knowing she was not going where she needed to go.
The ride home she told her mother what had happened, leaving out the illegal parts....And when they got home that night she passed out with dreams of blue and the mysterious kalon who both annoyed and thrilled her.
