As a frail, somewhat defenseless elder who doesn't really fight much in his
elder ages, Mothdream uses this as sort of a defense mechanism. The herb
is known for being used to mask the smell of death, and if a cat that was
challenging him caught a whiff of the scent, the cat might believe it would be a poor idea to challenge the elder who smells as if he has been hiding the
smell of death from other victims for days. [103 words]

Prompt;; Applemist smells like the crisp apples from the orchard where she grew up before coming to Forestclan after hearing stories about the great Badgerstar. They happened to grow up in the same farming area, but due to age differences never met. She spent a lot of time in the orchard climbing the trees and lazing among fruit and blossoms. The sweet smell of applewood and fruit still clings to her fur. The scent reminds Forestclan's leader of his own kithood. Thus, he gifted the she-cat, originally known as Merry, the name Applemist upon her formal induction into the clan.

He smells like lilac, because his favorite hiding place is in his lilac bush, where he keeps to himself after a long hard day. Female cats of the clan are usually attracted to his scent and how sweet the lilac smells on his fur. No cat has yet found his lilac bush to have the scent because it is on the other side of the mountain, outside his clan territory.

pine. the scent that surrounds the camp of rushclan. not only is it a scent that takes up a majority of the smells but it is also the trees, which takes up the majority of the territory.
russetwing has always been a fan of climbing and hanging around the pine trees that make up most of his territory. him being an elder made it very easy for him to acquire the everlasting smell on his ginger and white pelt.
he has earned the nickname of ‘pine tree’ since he is the only cat in the clan that has the heaviest scent of pine needles.

"Adder!" Came a call from behind the large chocolate tabby, who turned around to see LittleSpark bounding forward, the fur on his bulky frame spiked up slightly.
"We must make a new rule that rangers mustn't go out in groups less than three, the coyotes are getting aggressive and i don't think it'd be smart if anyone went alone." He breathed, the ginger lynx point's breaths shaky, showing the chief was more anxious than others.
"Oh... I just sent out RedShiver." The fluffy leader flattened his ears, his tail busheling slightly at the thought of his cousin being out there alone.
"We must find him! He may be strong but I wouldn't count on him taking on one alone." Little mewed uneasily, ready to go out and find the ranger.
AdderStar inhaled deeply, taking in the now fresh scent of mud and the melt of snow, the crispness of it making him stop as LittleSpark bounded frantically out of camp.
"Little he's back, there's no need to go out." The brown tabby mewled, quickly calming down.
He knew the tom's scent as if it were his own, having been in the mountains most of his life with Adder's uncle, his pelt picked up the crisp smell of snow just as the sun shown on it and initiated spring. The soft hints of pine he gave off as he would swagger through the camp, coming back from a patrol.
"What's he all uptight about?" The ginger tom asked his casually, flicking his tail.
"Nothing RedShiver, don't worry about it." AdderStar told him, breathing in again to take in the crisp smell that lingered on the other tom's pelt.

Wildeyes buried her nose into her mate's fur and breathed deeply of his scent, closing her tired eyes.
His pelt was heavy with the smell of the rich damp bark from the log he'd been sunning himself on. Beneath that scent was the constant mix of smells that made up his usually musk. Dust first and fore mostly, from the many paths he'd trod, the many fields he'd wandered. Secondly was the sunlight curled in his fur, gathered up from the different suns that had shone down on his back. Finally, beneath it all, was the tang of pine, from the needles he insisted lining their den with.
He stretched as she released the breath and all the smells, then curled closer to her, draping her in the comfort of the familiar scents.

Brackenthorn always loved to wander the forest. As soon as he was able to walk he slipped away to explore. The clan would panic when he disappeared but they would always end up finding him nearby, playing in the fallen Oak leaves.
As Brackenthorn grew into an apprentice he sought even greater adventures. He became increasingly problematic, not listening to his mentor, and vanishing without telling anyone where he was going.
One day he decided to venture beyond clan borders. That's when Brackenthorn met Fall, a beautiful ginger she-cat. He was drawn to her immediately, and he did his best to impress her.
They met often at a large Oak tree outside SeaClan territory. It was there that they fell in love, and there that Fall had their two kittens.
Brackenthorn returned to her as often as he could, in the same spot, and his fur always smelled like Oak.

Prompt;; urchinclaw wasn’t always a warrior of slateclan, before she joined the clan she was a part of another group of cats by the sea shore. they weren’t a clan, more of a family, and they lived in a serene peace with the ocean lapping at their paws and the sea spray coating their pelts. though, when large waves whipped across the rocks and sent the cats fleeing, she lost her family in the chaos and ended up travelling far away to another source of water. this time it didn’t smell of salt and it was very small, but stretched on for what seemed like forever. she eventually came in contact with slateclan and, despite how much her life has changed, she still carries the crisp scent of the longing salt water seas caught up in her wind-blown fur.

Redleaf's scent is the crisp air of Leaffall. Ever since she was a kit, Redleaf has loved the seasons: they all show beauty, from the bright Greenleaf days to the dangerous beauty of Leafbare. Leaffall and Newleaf both signify a change to a colder or hotter season, seemingly the cocoon in the life of a butterfly as the seasons blossom into warmth or cold. When the leaves begin to fall the night air smells crisp with the scent of fallen leaves, and although others hate leaffall as the start of the greencough epidemic, Redleaf loves it. She even asked for a Warrior name to relate to her favourite season.

The night air of Leaffall is also her favourite scent because she was born at the end of Greenleaf. Her family were moving to a better location to live as the city was a dangerous place. Redleaf opened her eyes for the first time and she saw the first red tree of the season, a scarlet pillar in a green society. When she came to FrondClan's location and saw the same tree her family had stayed at she knew this was where she belonged, and everytime there is a nice cold wind like the one at Leaffall she embraces it and lets it engult her pelt.To her, Redleaf's scent shows not only her carefree childhood, but also that her decision is supported by the stars themselves, who showed her the path to her old home with a trail of red leaves.
