Goldfish and Brindle have… an interesting relationship. On one hand, Goldfish’s unique plans and ideas never cease to impress Brindle, but on the other hand, he never listens to her. He’s a smart guy, and it frustrates Brindle how much Goldfish decides to not listen to her (Or anyone, really) and go his own way with crazy schemes. But when he’s scared or unsure about something, Goldfish will come straight to Brindle to ask for help and advice, which is pretty heartwarming. Plus, he’s friends with Chestnut and is a pretty good builder. Brindle figures she’ll let him stick around.

Goldfish and Chestnut are besties. Their youth and shared energy led them to bond quickly. Chestnut usually acts as his friend’s voice of reason, which is a bit ironic since Goldfish is actually older than him. Chestnut will sometimes get swept along into crazy Goldfish Plans, but is still sensible enough to put his foot down and say “no” when the schemes get too dangerous. The thought of doing stuff like that alone is usually enough to dissuade Goldfish from doing whatever-it-is.

Goldfish is fonder of Stormcloud than he’d ever admit. He loves the older mouse’s dry humor and appreciates his advice (even though he doesn’t always listen). Stormcloud can see that Goldfish isn’t nearly as ‘tough’ as he appears from the way he acts when he’s scared- freaking out and running to him or Brindle for help- and so is willing to tolerate him at his more air-headed moments. Secretly he’s a bit amused by Goldfish’s exploits, though he hopes the younger mouse will mature at some point. He’s always willing to lend some extra muscle to Goldfish’s building projects.

Cinders finds Goldfish equal parts amusing and obnoxious. On one hand, it’s annoying that he doesn’t listen to anyone. On the other, it’s kiiiiind of hilarious to see him doing stuff like, say, parachuting with a leaf off Outlook Rock (and then he landed in the stream and had to swim to shore, which was doubly hilarious!). Plus he’s a pretty ingenious builder. Cinders sometimes gets a bit snappy if he’s too immature or reckless or disrespectful to her Bestie (Brindle), but for the most part she does like Goldfish, as they share a certain sense of fun and liveliness.

Wolf || Honey is usually annoyed with wolf, seeing him as the angsty leader that never talks to the tribe because he's too cool for it. She doesn't understand why he is always out and about and never with them, although she never bothers questioning it anymore. The leader is rather avoidant and Honey just doesn't know what to do. She hates being ignored, and screaming "LOVE ME LEADER" isn't something she can do. She simply sticks around with the other mice and makes faces behind his back and messes with his stuff until he can learn to be with the tribe.

Bones || Bones is the mom of the tribe, the one that tells the younger ones to not do anything stupid. Honey loves her and sees her as a mother-figure, as she never knew her own. Bones was the one to bring Honey back when she was small and weak, so Honey has a particular loyalty to Bones. Honey being young, she does a lot of stupid things with the other two that Bones doesn't approve of, and they argue like mother and daughter, but that only brings them closer in the end, as they will start to laugh about it after.

Aspen || Aspen is the rebellious and carefree teenager that treats Honey like an even younger child. Aspen is also a sort of mentor to Honey, teaching her tricks and silly and harmless pranks to pull on the other mice (especially wolf.) The thing with aspen is that she never listens to a word that Honey says. "This looks dangerous." "NAH ITS SAFE I HAVENT DIED YET." is how their conversations seem to go. The two are friends that seem to get into a lot of trouble, Honey being the calmer and more rational of the trio that messes with the tribe.

Shadow || Shadow is the third of the trio mentioned above, and is even worse than Aspen. Honey can't seem to control the wild healer that insists she doesn't need to be told what to do. Honey appreciates the drive and passion that the young mouse has, but she is absolutely terrified that Shadow will get hurt because of her own antics. "Shadow you can't do that" "WATCH ME" "NO IM SERIOUS YOU'RE OUR ONLY HEALER IF YOU DIE WE'RE ALL SCREWED." "FIGHT ME HONEY." Aspen is usually rooting for Shadow in the background, hooting and hollering. It gives Honey a headache.

Prompt: Walnut is a doe with a personality as sweet as honey. When she first met Ridge, the two took to each other gratefully, becoming each other's confidants in the lonely world. Ridge acts protective of the golden blue-eyed mouse, sticking loyally to her and keeping her safe as Walnut behaves like a kind, caring older sister who worries over the Founder when she does risky things. She respects the leader greatly, but the bond they share from being the first two mice of the tribe is much closer than any other that Walnut has made. She gladly grooms Ridge's fur and tells her sunny stories, brings her only the most plump plums and fattest nuts and spends time fussing over small cuts, making a sour day shine bright with her darling smiles.

Moon wasn't thrilled at first when Autumn asked her to come make a tribe with him. Sure, they got along alright, but they weren't really close friends. She was pretty sure he just wanted her to come cause she's good at making cozy houses out of hard-to-use places. Still, the idea was exciting, and she was getting kind of tired of her old, easy life. She and Autumn don't always get along, but they have the same goal and can't wait to build their life on the mountain. She likes being with her friend, even if they disagree sometimes.
