Story;;
“Peaches!! Come on!!” A young girl shouted to the brown viscet who happened to fall behind during the last row of strawberry bushes. Peaches perked up at the sound of her master’s voice. Her ears rose alongside a smile on her face. She started to shyly walk towards the sound of her voice. “Bring the basket!” The girl chuckled, knowing the small viscet would forget, as all the other new viscets they had on the farm did. At this time of year, the time of the Strawberry harvest, Peaches would finally be turning one. She had been on the farm for practically her whole life, adopted as soon as she was strong enough to live without the shielded environments being with her mother and siblings created for her. Since the time she was adopted, she has been working in the fields with her master, a young girl named Megan, of course the both of them still need a bit more practice to really be good at it.
Not only are they a completely organic farm, but their family tends to be more traditional with the way they run their farm, of course they still use machinery for many tasks, but some they prefer to do by hand, notably planting seeds and harvesting. Those two times during the year are very special, and admittedly more enjoyed by the family than most other holidays. Its a time where they, as a family, can work together in the fields and have fun- and by saying family, that includes the animals. Though Peaches is pretty much Megan’s pet, her intended purpose is to be a work viscet alongside their other viscets, dogs, and one horse named Buttercup. Peaches is always by Megan’s side, especially during harvesting.
“Peaches!! Are you coming or what!” The girl giggled impatiently. Peaches sneezed in response and picked up the basket with her mouth. On all fours, the viscling merrily trotted over with a spring and a bounch in every step.
“Aw Peaches, thanks!” Megan’s eyes glowed in appreciation. “You are so good at picking the ones that I miss!!” She hugged the viscling with sweet intentions, but that hug grew bittersweet. Megan felt the long brown fur strands as she buried the side of her face into Peaches’ side.
Megan’s thoughts rushed through her mind. “Wow, Peaches is growing so big. Soon she will be walking on her hind legs; soon she would be taller than I am. I won’t be able to let her sleep in my bed; she won’t be anle to comfort me during thunderstorms. She will have to stay in the barn with Buttercup and the other viscets.” Megan let a tear roll down her face. It was Peaches’ first harvest with Megan as a small viscling and very well her last.
