moment:
looking back sei is reminded of how much he's grown.

sei looked down at the piece of blank paper laying on the floor, considering what he should write. he wiped his forehead, accidentally smearing ink onto his face. he didn't mind though, he had already gotten plenty of ink on him. he had sat there staring at that paper for hours, yet still didn't know what to write. he began doubting his abilities, he thought about giving up. what if he didn't have what it takes? he continued with these thoughts until something hit him. when he had first started calligraphy, he knew absolutely nothing, but whenever he picks up the brush, and with each stroke, he learns something new. he gripped the calligraphy brush and with a few swift motions wrote the japanese characters for "growth". he looked down upon the characters, tracing the strokes with his eyes. even if he wasn't perfect, he could always improve. taking the paper and a thumbtack he hung it up among many other pieces of his work.
"growth" he read smiling.
