The moon is bright.
I lay awake,
Watching them shine their light.
I whisper a wish
a dream to come true
just like in the stories
i know just what to do
I smile wide
as i open my eyes
But i look up
and my smile dies
"What happened to the promise?
What happened to my dream?"
the stars are gone,
left only cold in my bloodstream.
They ran away
My wish in their arms
of coarse it didn't come true
it was only part of my heart.
A lesson i learned long ago,
Don't trust the stars
They'll only take your dreams,
and leave them on mars.
Extra:The stars are not reliable. Don't trust them with your dreams and/or your wishes.
