and she learned that a faster pulse was likely a liar's, and that a

Trust is the sole deciding factor in any of Solange's friendships. She is a kalon that is quick
to doubt and to shy away from believing, yet she would never question the word of any of
her close friends. For Solange, if a friend were to betray her trust, she would feel crushed
and used in a way that none would want to feel. If a friend were to doubt her, Solange
