It’s definitely the most bittersweet memory I can remember. I could have been greedy and asked her to stay by my side, but I couldn’t. I knew that if she stayed, she wouldn’t get a chance to experience a once in a lifetime chance. That’s just one of the qualities of friendship - I need to put my needs aside, and think about what the other person wants and what would make them happy.
