In Rosecall's original Clan - LilyClan - there was a series of deaths of important cats -some of the leader's lives, the deputy, and the medicine cat. Rosecall was convinced these deaths were linked - believing there was no way these could be coincidental. As a young warrior, she took it upon herself to investigate these deaths.

❝ this chaos, this calamity - this garden once was perfect ❞

LilyClan was know for being a rather peaceful and reserved Clan, and so often did not have to deal with battles. However, chaos ensues when multiple important cats die very close to one another - leaving the Clan vulnerable.

❝ give your immortality to me; i'll set you up against the stars ❞

Rosecall talking to the unknown murderer - she wants to destroy the supposed " immortality" of the cat that is quietly causing so much death and destruction in her Clan and deeply wants this cat to be judged by StarClan.

❝ gloria,
we lied, we can't go on
this is the time and this is the place to be alive ❞

The Clan is suffering as the leadership grows weaker and weaker. The Clan lies about how they are doing fine at gatherings, despite how tensions within the Clan have never been this high. Cats begin to fear that they will be next - that StarClan is punishing them. Hysteria ensues within the Clan, and many begin to act as if they will die tomorrow. Rosecall is one of the few level-headed ones.

and there is discord in the garden tonight ❞

There is a sense of urgency within the Clan as their leader loses more lives. Clan fears for lives of new deputy and medicine cat. It seems as if her Clan is in a constant state of panic - every time something goes slightly wrong, it is seen as a catastrophe.

There has been such a high amount of deaths within the Clan. Cats are beginning to lose hope. Rosecall is convinced these are all murders.

❝ this is the death of beauty ❞

Rosecall puts all the pieces of the puzzle together. It seems that the current deputy - and the leader's mate - was notably close by to all of the deaths. Began to follow her about, suspicious, and caught her red-handed as she was about to lead another plot against the leader. This was a big shock to the Clan, as they saw her as one of the most trustworthy cats. The leader was particularly broken about this.

❝ the doves have died ❞

Peace has been inevitably shattered within the Clan, and many are still nervous. Cats begin to leave the Clan out of fear that the ex-deputy will be back for revenge; irreversibly damaging the Clan.


❝ the lovers have lied ❞

How the deputy - the leader's mate - betrayed the Clan so terribly. Rosecall wonders if this is the reason why she wasn't under suspicion from other cats - that her lies of "I love you" made it seem impossible for her to be guilty. Rosecall doubted her own suspicion for this reason, despite being usually so confident in her thoughts. She didn't want to be right.

i covered us with silver leaves ❞

The ex-deputy launched an attack to destroy the Clan. Rosecall knew that if the leader was to die, then her weakened Clan would surely perish. As a result, she lead the leader away from camp - hoping that his injuries were not severe. She helped to hide him away from their camp and tried to fix his wounds, but the wounds were too severe and the shock was too great - so he lost his last life. After the battle and learning that their leader was dead, the Clan essentially disbanded completely. LilyClan was no more

began to fade
While the forest life was a different life

in the arms of the knotted elm

He could never be a part of Songclan or any clan
But up in the hollow of the elm tree
Any cat is welcome to come seeking relief from pain

I could reclaim what I new of my old name
and return to the head of the helm

He finds exoneration from his past in
aiding the cats
and even the other creatures of the forest

and his heart and soul locked onto it

song: rainy day - a home ripped from underneath one's paws, the sadness that echos in his throat. this song fits perfectly with describing hawksnarl's backstory - a lonesome tom who had his rank, respect, and his family mostly ripped away. lost in a rain storm, all that remained was a shell of a cat, who he is now, with seemingly nothing that that pull him out except for the light at the end of the journey. he is dull and gloomy now, the rain bringing him peace...but perhaps that will change in the future.

Bee looked out the window of his twoleg's nest and saw cats gathering around. They all seemed happy, excited, but Bee couldn't be bothered moving from the windowsill. He noticed his mate, Violet, walking up to the group, and every cheered to see her. He smiled, seeing her happy. He could hear her laugh even from inside the nest. Bee noticed a shift in her mood when another cat walked up to her, like she was apprehensive about something. Scared, but not of the other cat. She looked up to the window and saw Bee, and flicked her tail in greeting. The tom did the same, though quickly settled in for a nap, closing his eyes and forgetting about the gathering.

Violet was nowhere to be seen for multiple days. Eventually, Bee came across one of her closest friends, Ruby, and asked where she was. Gone. Off on an adventure. Bee's heart broke. She'd constantly spoken about how she wanted to explore; to leave the kittypet life and to find her true calling, but he never thought she'd actually get up and leave. She was soft, and precious, and too innocent- how could he let her leave? Plans ran through his head to try and find her; to catch her and bring her back to her twolegs. But a little voice in his head told him no. He had to let go; she was probably happy in her new life. Maybe it was all his fault; maybe he'd pushed her away? Bee didn't know, and wouldn't unless he found her. He left in the middle of the night, keeping his trip a secret from any of his friends. He was going to get Violet back, no matter the amount of pain he had to face.

Wʜʏ﹕Thunderclaw is a cat who feels very strongly in himself. He is stubborn, and always a fighter. As such, he feels that weakness and pity are unnecessary. He believes the Clan should be strong, and should use their strength, rather than restrain it. He believes he thinks for the greater good of the Clan, and is always willing to protect his Clan members. He fears that the weakness he sees in Maplestar will eventually lead to harm for one of his Clan members, and he often struggles to listen to Maplestar's orders.
