Love's First Thought

XXXXXWhy had everything started? What was the reason for all of this in the world? The pleasure of experience? No, not that. You may believe that it was all about the experiences, but truly the only reason the world started was for the child to be born. For he would be able to bring happiness to this world. He is called multiple names in many different places, but his name was Cupid, the child of love and desire. But how was he created? Was he a thought first? Maybe, but maybe he could have been chosen. No maybe not like a chosen one, but almost exactly.
XXXXXHe was born like every other child. A thought. He was then created, but he was like any other child who had been born, but his parents had wished hard and prayed for something to help him on his journey. Maybe the higher entity thought that they deserved it so they gave his parents a choice. Give him a certain set of toys and see what he chooses. Whatever he chooses will give him a magical ability. However, they were warned that if they allow him to choose an item, he may leave them forever. His parents took the items; a heart, a sword, and a scale. His parents thought hard about their own choice and decided to see what he would do. They wished for him to choose the right item and allowed him to choose an item. They set him in front of the three items and watched carefully.
XXXXXThey knew he was still blind so they didn't know how this would help in any way. They had tried to coo him over to the items, but he sat in the same spot for a few minutes. Just as they were about to take the items away he began to move. He crawled forward towards the scale but quickly moved to the heart. He softly slapped the item and just as soon as his hand left the item his eyes opened. His brown eyes changed to a deep violet and then faded into a baby blue. He looked up at his parents for the first time just as large wings protruded from his back. Suddenly the entity appeared and quickly swept the small child into their arms. Telling the parents that he has chosen and will be handled away from his parents. His parents begged and plead, but the entity only shook their head and disappeared. Their parents watched as their baby left them and his first thought appeared from this childhood event.

Where Is The Love?

XXXXXMany think that Cupid is long lasting, however, there are times when he does die. This may be weird and different from what you were told, but it's true. Once Cupid has died his soul is put into the next body that could accept his light and powerful magic. It may take years or may take seconds, but his soul always finds a body. I have a story to tell, it may be sad or it may be happy, it depends on who reads it.

XXXXXCupid sat staring at all those around him. He was invisible sadly, so none of them could see his sad and lonely eyes gazing hopelessly at the couples. It was a dread day, but he loved it so much. Valentine's Day. His only day to be on duty, but it made him so sad. He watched as all the couples smiled and laughed together and held their hands together. He looked down at his own and clasped them together to try to feel what it was like, but he didn't feel anything different. He sighed and hugged himself tight as he had stood up. However, for some reason, someone bumped into him. This had shocked him quite a bit as he was invisible. People are usually able to not see him and even be able to walk through him, but how had they not done the same? They had muttered a quick sorry and raced away and Cupid finally noticed the tears falling from their face. He nodded and flew into the sky to follow her on the ground and watched as she bumped into many others and things around her. He saw another person had been dumped earlier that day and knew that this pairing could work. He had looked into both of their own hearts and seen that they would match better together than with any other person. Just as he let loose his magical abilities portrayed as his bow and arrow he felt a twang of pain in his heart and watched as the two fell in love at first sight.
XXXXXHis chest tightened and he fell from the sky and into a bush right beside the two he had just matched. He clutched his chest and smiled as he saw his magic had worked, but suddenly his smile faltered as he looked at the one who had bumped into him. They were amazing in every way and he wished them to have the happiest life they could, but his chest hurt more knowing that he couldn't have them. He didn't know what this was and as he smiled tears began to fall. He was shocked for he had never cried before. He wiped away the tears and flew away clutching his pained chest. He felt as though he was being torn apart one heartstring at a time.
XXXXXHe landed sloppily in his room and laid on his bed. He was panting hard as he could barely breathe as he had started to cry harder. He grabbed a pillow and shoved his face into it. He screamed as loud as he could, though it was muffled, anyone could have heard the heartbreak he felt for some reason. He cried hard and long and as he lifted the pillow from his face finally he slowly closed his eyes as his chest tightened one last time and it all faded away. His last heartstring was torn and he died from the heartbreak he found. His soul went away quickly in the search for another body.

XXXXXNow that takes us to the present. Cupid's soul has finally found a body to bind itself to. A young child was born a few years after the death of Cupid who looked almost identical. He was born from the last couple Cupid had brought together. This child's name was Bashkim which meant together and his parents thought it fitting as they had both seen the fall of the last Cupid and the birth of the new one. Even if it hurt they would always love their child as well as Cupid. Their sin had been taken away quickly after that by the entity and they knew they most likely would never see him again, but they would never stop their flowing love for him. The new Cupid will grow up the same, but this time he felt what love felt like before everything started. He knows what love is and he knows how it is felt. And he had his first thought from since his birth.
