Strange, sinister and queer-looking, Guiying loves these flowers. She adorns her cage with these vibrant flowers. Leopard's bane, Wolf's bane, Mousebane, Women's bane, devil's helmet, blue rocket, aconite or queen of all poisons are it's many names but Guiying knows this flower by the name, Blue monk's hood. Part of the aconitum family and highly poisonous, many wouldn't consider this flower as a favourite. Guiying however loves this brilliant blossom, and frequently seeks more knowledge about this flower. The ancient Greeks believed it to come from the slathering jaws of Cerberus, the 3-headed dog of the underworld, the peasants of the middle ages believed it able to drive away vampires even if it had the horrid effect of attracting hulking great werewolves.

Monk’s hood has been used as a weapon, in poison tipped arrows to slay man and beast alike, particularly wolves hence where it’s name ‘Wolf’s bane’ comes from. In large doses death comes quickly to the unfortunate soul, but even if it doesn’t, the symptoms are horrible. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, burning, tingling and numbing in the mouth. Other symtoms are burning, continued numbing, hypotension, sinus bradycardia, ventricular arrhythmias. There may be the tasty additional features of sweating, dizziness, headache, confusion and difficulty breathing. One interesting point that Guiying finds is how the flower chooses to cause pain first rather than just kill the consumer outright. The main causes of death are ventricular arrhythmias and asystole, or paralysis of the heart or respiratory system. The only post mortem signs are those of asphyxia, showing nothing of the torture that the queen of all poisons had put the victim through.

You also don’t have to eat the flower to get poisoned…such a charming flower.

Jyp loves Calendulas, with several reasons attached to it. Generally when he sees the beige (golden-orange) flowers bursting with color in the cold of winter, he can't contain his excitement. He tends to turn back into a puppy around them, barking happily, and jumping up and down until someone calms him. Since his favorite season is winter, due to his coat that keeps him warm, he's always happy to see new flowers pop up when everyone just wants to stay inside. But aside from that, he has a way to scare humans when he is around them. Since the Calendulas are edible he simply walks right up to one, and eats it. Usually that's enough to send anyone near by into a frightened tizzy. But he doesn't play that trick to often, sometimes feeling bad when they get the most frightened. When he first found Calendulas, he was playing with an empty soda bottle when he happened upon it. He was a young puppy then and stupidly ate it, after being scolded by his mother he was able to find that they did nothing bad to him, leaving him open for his game he plays on the humans.
But his second favorite flower, which he had trouble picking as second favorite to the beautiful Calendulas, is the Osteospermum. He loves all colors of it, lavender, blue, the beige-ish yellow, and the grey (red). One of his favorite things about it is the height that it grows to, sometimes taller than him. But by now his mind is made,
