Short storys:

Story 1: Mom



A golden viscet stands on a rock trying to keep his body balanced with his little feathery wings
out hunching himself over.
"I can do it this time." He says to himself closing his eyes before opening them and jumping off.
His little wings flap but nothing happened so he ends up flopping on his face. He sits there in silence
slowly getting up a tear going down his face and he starts to cry.

“You tripped again? Didnt you?” a soft female voice spoke to a little golden viscet and he nodded.
Tears going down his cheeks. She signed and used her tail to scoot him over gently before holding
him in her arms the female viscet sang too ease his crying.

“ I know you didn’t trip I was just guessing you were going to say that again.” He looked away
from her before slowly nodding. she smiled and patted his head before setting him down on the soft
moss of the cave.

“I told you you are not ready to fly yet, you still need to develop those little wings of yours.” She
said as she brushed her nose on the tip of his and then looked him into the eyes before closing hers.
Her voice grew more worried as she looked at him and it started to shake when she spoke

“I just want you to be safe at this point in your life your still developing I don’t want you to get
hurt I love you.” She opened her eyes and began to smile.

“I love you too mama.” He smiled and put his tiny paws on her face and she laughed letting him stick
onto her face as she raised herself up before cuffing him up into her arms. She waited for him to stop
squirming around and get himself settled down before she rested her head against the cave wall looking
up she started to hum the little viscet humming along with her as she broke out in song her voice echoing.



"sleep tight little sweet."
"sleep till the morning comes."
"Everything will be alright As it always is."
"sleep tight"
"sleep tight little one"

The little viscets voice began to fade from hers as she started quieted before going into
a whisper and them silent looking at the sleeping little viscling in her arms.

"goodnight my little angel." she said resting herself now.




Story 2: A new friend

He looked up to the surrounding sky eyes full of wonder as little white drops made their
way down covering the ground in white. snow,it was beautiful the way it just turned his
world white,into a blank canvas that was beautiful without any color. He smiled and his
halos glowed bright as his teeth.

"your glowing!" A viscets voice cherped surprising him he fell on his face into the freezing
snow In front of him was a green viscet with a mane that could resemble that of fathers
and his eyes a wild blue.

"hello?" The golden viscet said to him interrupting the green viscet's giggling as he grew
quiet.

"sorry I just couldn't help but notice that you were glowing,well your halos were It's been
a long time since I seen a viscet of your type around here before. " he said and kip blinked
back for a moment thinking about what the viscet had said.

"is that a bad thing?" he replied and the viscet frantically began shaking his head no.
"no no no it's a great thing It's very rare never thought I would ever see one again. The folks
around here thought they had went extinct." he said with a awkward smile now suffling
his paws and biting his lip.

“My names Grayson by the way...you can call me gray for short..” Kip smile with amusement
about how awkward the viscet was to see him he never thought that he would feel so different,
unique before.

“My names Kip, I don’t know what else you could call me cause thats pretty short.” He laughed
and Grayson laughed with him.

“So do you like the snow?” Kip said and grayson quickly nodded and grabbed himself a
scoop of it and rolled it into a ball before motioning for Kip to one closer.

“Do you like snowmen? “ he asked raising a brow and Kip smiled and made a ball as well
working it in the snow to make it larger. They laughed and played remaking the balls
whenever they fell apart till they had three large balls one being larger and one being
smaller and stacked them up on each other to resemble that of a snowman.
Grayson frowned.

“What's the matter?” Kip asked and Grayson walked around the snowman.
“It’s missing something.” He squealed before digging up snow in front of him and picking
up some pebbles and Kip got what he was doing and did the same and they added the
pebbles onto the snow man who now had 2 eyes and a mouth with little pebbled going
down his belly like buttons.

“One more thing!” Kip added running to a tree and breaking ff two dead branches and
running over with them in his mouth. They both took a stick and stuck one into
each side of the snowman and that resembled the arms.

“It’s so pretty!” Grayson exclaimed and kip nodded happily.
